Re: Folks trying to "label" skirt-wearers?
This has been bugging me for a bit - the labeling aspect. We all like to classify things - generalize things, otherwise stereotypes wouldn’t be so ingrained in our world. As I was looking though a skirt wearing male’s instagram, he kept referring to himself as “queer”. I guess it’s fine he takes up...

Re: Deteating ourselves --
I have read just a few hundred posts, but often find references to "women's clothes" is it not part of our challenge to change the paradigm from clothes having a gender to generic? Why would we say -- I like "women's" clothes, rather than "I like/prefer skirts" or 'heels" or dresses? We men wear...

Re: Folks trying to "label" skirt-wearers?
In this "woke" society, no one wants to be seen as backward, some may scrabble for old terms because they don't know the new ones  Some may think, if the skirt wearer is obviously male, are they in the early stages of (social) transition? Some people's heads just explode 🤯 as it's hard to find...

Re: Skirts and health?
Some years ago there was an article in I believe the Scottish Guardian or so. It revered to research executed by a Dutch doctor with the Erasmus Universiteit who had done research on the effects of skirt wearing, or as it was for Scotland kilt wearing, and indicated that such would be much healthie...

Re: Wendy Williams backlash over "men in skirts and heels"
gay men 'should stop wearing our skirts and heels' Note the use of the determiner "our". So how about straight women stopping wearing "our" trousers/pants? The woman is a hypocrite. We can and should distinguish between the sexes in dress, but the idea that an item of clothing so basic as a skirt -...

They seem to be upmarket tweed skirts

This one is nice, but to be honest, tweed skirts can be found for a fraction of the price on ebay

Re: New guy just learning the ropes
Hi all Discovered this site fairly recently though I've been skirted for many years. Prefer shorter skirts but too timid to venture out in them. I usually wear a nightshirt This is a bit weird as the females in my house favour pyjamas. My daughter insists on always referring to my nightdress whethe...

Re: Wendy Williams backlash over "men in skirts and heels"
I hadn't heard of Wendy Williams until this, but it strikes me that she's not in a strong position to criticize other people's appearance: in those photos, she looks like a caricature of Miss Piggy. BTW, it's been observed in the UK that the Mail is keen to boost its online revenues in North Americ...

Re: Wendy Williams backlash over "men in skirts and heels"
Wendy is on E! Entertainment, home of quality shows like the Kardashians  I think the US term is "shock jock" - like Howard Stern... says things for shock value - and once it's out there, is happy for any sort of publicity. Has a car-crash life, separated / divorce, but very messy and public. ...

Wendy Williams backlash over "men in skirts and heels"
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-8001805/Wendy-Williams-branded-homophobic-saying-gay-men-stop-wearing-skirts-heels.html Not going down well after talk show host Wendy singled out men for wearing skirts and heels... although she went for the typical cliche of gays wearing skirts and hee...

Looks great, though I'll wait for Storm Ciara to pass as I wouldn't want the wind affecting the skirt and me showing more than I planned to

Re: Skirts and health?
A recent BBC programme 'Trust me I'm a doctor' featured a piece that could be relevant to us skirt wearers. When we are born our bodies have a large proportion of brown fat cells which burn up calories to keep our small bodies warm. As we grow up we lose much of this brown fat except to an area aro...
