Clothing as an Outward Expression

OK, At the risk of upsetting the entire group, let's play with this concept a bit. As I was driving down the highway (that's when I think I do my best thinking), it occurred to me that clothing is an "outward expression of my inner being." That is, the sum of what I think I am at any one moment is e...

English

Could someone post a summary (paragraph or two) of the main points covered in the video. I watched it, but really didn't get enough to understand what they were trying to say.

Thanks!

Holidays

Guys, I love Halloween. We always buy a big bag of chocolate to pass out. Most of the kids that visit are just teeny little things who for the most part don't have a clue what the holiday as about. I love seeing them in their costumes, seeing how they maneuver themselves up the porch steps, then how...

Fantasy?

Well look, for the sake of public appearances, I am a realist. On the other hand, I have taken a skirt out in public on my otherwise male appearing body so perhaps I am a dreamer.

In more private situations, I love fantasy -- I just do.

Body Type

Well, it certainly works on mine. I have a 44" waist and fit a size 26 from this manufacturer. It is comfortable and looks good. The pockets are useful too!

Cargo Skirt

Hi,
For those hunting for a nice denim skirt, check out this link. I own one and am now purchasing the same thing in olive and khaki.

If they say anything...

Richard, I have had four outings so far in a demin with lots of flounce, nothing like the number you just bought. Only on the last trip did I encounter a nitwit who yelled out "SKIRT". It was what I needed at the time and I probably should have thanked him. It screwed down my resolve to yet a new le...

Card Carrying MIS

If you read one of my other posts this evening, you know I was heckled by a fool with an unregulated mouth. He is what I needed to firm my resolve about wearing skirts, frankly, I should have gone up to him and thanked him and handed him a card. Anyone interested in creating a logo for a business ca...

Untoward Reaction

Just returned from my 4th trip (the third was uneventful). This trip was to the local grocery store. I walked out of an aisle and turned left into a large open area and heard some bloke behind me yell "SKIRT". I didn't fall over dead or anything or run away, just kept walking like I knew what I was ...

bigger issues

Iain, LOL on the bomb, yes, much bigger fish to fry. Just returned from Dress Barn, they had a 60% sale. Picked up two nice skirts, one solid brown, the other solid black. Fairly heavy material, not wool, but some sort of synthetic, perhaps polyester. In any case, the black one is mid ankle length, ...

sizes

Richard,
Thanks, I suspected they were different.

It means I gotta loose some of this American bread basket before I try on one of those skirts!

Nice choice, it really does look like a pair of shorts! Perhaps you will try this one in public!

Women's Choices

I am with you! I have been spending a lot more time looking into catalogs and I am blown away by the choices! Most online stores have things grouped into categories, so when I am flipping through the categories it's color, options, options, colors, cool! Just look at bras for instance, why would any...

Last Day

Iain, Very thoughtful reply and I have to agree that if this were my last day on the planet I would wear what I wanted and not be concerned about other people's opinions about it. That does help bolster my confidence, thanks! It's also true that if this were my last day on the planet, I would probab...

Sizes

Richard,
I checked out that skirt earlier when you listed it. The size is listed as up to 22, do you know if that's the same sizing used in US skirts? A 22 usually fits me and I would like to have one.
