Thanks for the update Carl (and for the fix).
When everything works smoothly here it is easy to lose sight of how much work is going on behind the scenes. I am sure we all appreciate it though.
Have fun,
Ian.

Re: Wrap Skirt
I keep looking for a wrap skirt. They must be out of fashion as no retailer has them and I can't find the right one online, and have not had success with anyone who will make one. It sounds simple, a cylinder with some elastic, velcro, and maybe a nylon strap and buckle. I am a hiker and am looking...

Re: Sightings "in the wild"
Like, what kind of nut case walks around with a brief case and an umbrella? Ummm [hesitantly raises hand] me, sometimes. Brollies can be very practical and my rather battered briefcase is an effective way of keeping bits of work and home together and available when I need them. Not sure I like the ...

As somebody who mostly sits in the background, reading the forum while occasionally inserting a steering oar into the flow, I'd like to thank the posters above for the good-natured qualities of the posts. It seems that normal service has been restored and we are all better off for it. Thank you, fol...

Thank you, Jenn and Gentlemen. Sadly, it has been another grinding day at the office, dealing with a pain in the neck customer (Hmmm, I wonder if I can get the Enola Gay to go and finish the job she started...) Never mind; I'm home now and the glass of Founders Reserve Glenlivet to the right of my m...

Re: Some British Humor
pelmut thanks for that. Perhaps one of the more subtle jokes I remember is two blokes talking and one says to the other, "I passed your house this morning." And the other one says, "Thank you." The alternative (less appropriate when the Mother-in-Law is around) answer to that is "Bet that made your...

Re: Disadvantages of Different Kinds of Skirts
You can't beat velcro on the waist for speed and ease of fitting and removal. This is a feature of all Sportkilts and one Scotkilt that I have. I like wrapskirts anyway and I'm sure it's no task really to add velcro if there's none there. I had just one meet-up with a Forum member, one Ian Milfmog ...

Re: PhotoBucket
I use Flickr to host pictures online. They offer a reasonable list of optional controls over who can see the pictures but the settings are simple enough even for me to manage.

Re: What do your children think ?
I wrote here about my son and his view of my skirt wearing. I can't believe it was almost 11 years ago.
he'#s still completely unfazed by my choice of clothing.
Have fun,
Ian.

Carole and I are just back from a cruise taking in Dubrovnik, Trieste, Venice, and then down the Croatian coast to Montenegro. For the formal captain's gala dinner, I wore the outfit pictured here . It gained loads of positive reactions from passengers and crew, which illustrates why it has become o...

Re: Sightings "in the wild"
Yesterday in Inkydown Wood, near Maidenhead, where we were walking the dogs, we were passed by a group of about nine walkers. Nothing unusual in that except that one of them (male) had shoulder length grey curly hair and was wearing an orange and grey cotton jersey dress that came to about 3 inches ...

Re: Leather kilt
I got the kilt in the above photo from a company called Off-Pat . I think the one in this link is similar: http://www.off-pat.com/index.php/fancy-dress-period-costume/mens-brown-real-leather-matrix-steampunk-van-helsing-trench-coat-most-sizes-4.html . Mine is the 20 inch option, but it's a bit shor...
