Re: Where will we be in say... ten years?

Where will we be in say... ten Years? Odds are I will be resting in a small patch of ground I purchased years ago located a few miles West of town. If you look at the ages of the people in this group and add ten years, it will be the young folk who will be trying to move fashion and not those of my ...

Re: Postman or Mailman

I am just curious so I am going to ask everyone to search their memories. It has been a lot of years ago, but I recall that someone who worked for the postal service (and had been either fired or became disgruntled) took a weapon into the Post Office and started shooting people. I bring this up beca...

Re: Postman or Mailman

Interesting conversation here - so I will add my 2 cents. I typically use Postman to refer to workers in the Post Office - behind the counter - selling stamps etc. and Mailman to the workers going from door to door delivering mail in town, and Mail Carrier to workers driving cars to deliver mail to ...

Re: Women's clothing sizes keep changing

I am not sure if it's women's sizes change, or my size changing. Normally I have been wearing 34 inch waist blue jeans for outside work, but when I went shopping, I tried on a 36 inch waist and they felt so good that I bought 38's. Now with all this stay at home, and not getting any exercise, I may ...

Re: On statues...

On Statues, beings that I am from the North, I say let them stand. Like it or not, they are part of our history and heritage. We need to be able to look at where we have been in order to know which way we should go. Removing these statues (and monuments) is akin to denying who we are and what we had...

Re: Protests

Sometimes we need to step back and look at the big picture. Please take the time to do an internet search on the topic of "violent deaths of black people are committed by?" Black lives matter is the slogan of the day, but all the data that I could find was that 90 - 93 percent of violent black death...

Re: Andy Rooney Once Said……

What Andy Rooney once said is irrelevant. We don't live in that world any more. Society has moved on and we cannot live in the past. We live in the here and now, and our actions need to build a stronger society for all people. When I was very young, mothers stayed at home to take care of the househo...

Re: Protests

I saw the following on Facebook, and am submitting it as something to ponder. It is not something that I personally wrote, but it speaks to me, maybe it will speak to others. {If my wife comes to me in obvious pain and asks, "Do you love me?", an answer of, "I love everyone", would be truthful, but ...

Mature College Students: 2 Sides - Side 1: I was a mature college student getting my education after serving in the army. Studied with others like me and those students fresh out of High School didn't stand a chance against us. We set the the grade curve, because we studied harder and longer after l...

Re: The Freedom Virus: Are you infected?

Yes! I am from Wisconsin - Yes! The Republican Party is out of Control! No! At my age and health I am high risk for Covid 19 virus and risking my life to vote for a Supreme Court judge was not high priority for me so I stayed at home. (The Presidential Primaries have been decided.) Yes! up to a few ...

Re: Not socially distanced...

I heard that the Corona Virus (Covid 19) came from bats in China.

It makes me wonder if we will ever know the truth how all of this
started and how humans started catching it and spreading it.

Re: Make-up Guy

Makeup for men may eventually succeed because of the need to change careers. The way technology is changing the outlook of future jobs is just short of alarming. Picture yourself at age 60 needing to change jobs because the old job became redundant. Going into an interview looking like you already h...

Re: Gas prices...

And the price is falling because: People are driving less and therefore using less fuel and creating a surplus. Imagine (if you will) vehicles that do not use gasoline for power - the reduced in fuel prices would be the norm, cleaner air that Los Angeles is experiencing would become the new standard...

Re: Health Concerns & Costs

I guess I am a bit radical when it comes to health insurance. Somehow, I feel that people who invest in the stock of health insurance companies are turning a profit in the form of dividends by insurance companies denying health care, or minimal health care to policy holders. A clerk without a medica...
