Re: The Extreme!

Crashing a bicycle, in a skirt... on a curb, at a busy intersection  I was bicycling in a skirt (nothing showing) and came to an intersection which happened to have no curb ramp (why!?!). I figured....its a small curb anyways, I can just jump it. Well, I must have overestimated the jump and end...

Re: Mens Skirts advertised

To each their own! :alien: I'm not the kind to wear it, personally. And it looks like many here are in agreement. Yet, this "fashion" has roots in recent fashion trends from what I've seen. I've noticed many young women wearing similar garb. Especially during the spring it seems, they wear...

Re: early 20th century parallels?

I can't remember ANYONE being diametrically opposed! Who would argue with those beautifully rounded hips, Etc... I'm referencing 1920s, 30s... not the 60s pantsuits or similar for women. Back in the 20s, etc (probably more in the city then farm country), a woman walking down the street in pants wou...

early 20th century parallels?

It is often discussed here and everywhere on the internet how the "skirts and kilts" phenomenon among men's fashion is very much akin to the women's trouser movement of the early 20th century. However, something else struck me as to the flip side of that early 20th century fashion revoluti...

Why men like skirts - Skirt! Magazine

A while ago someone mentioned that Skirt! Magazine has a "He's so original" feature. Basically it features an artistic guy who poses in a skirt, and they show a photo of it. Along with their bio, they ask the person two questions: "The best thing about wearing a skirt? " and &quo...

Let it be known that today, May 2nd, is International No Pants Day.

I doubt we will have any issues here :)

A State of the Trend speech

I came across this well written overview of the entire Skirts and Kilts for men fashion trend and thought it well worth reading: http://www.menstuff.org/archives/menskirts.html Why Men Should Wear Skirts BY: JAY DEZELIC Until now, men have considered the idea of wearing something other than pants or...

I wonder if it wouldn't be worth trying to petition Paul Gaultier and other established men's skirts fashion designers to join the show? If we got even one of them in, it would be awesome!

Michigan state news

Looks like the Governor of Michigan has added "gender Identity or expression" to the anti-discrimination list:

Of course this isn't "skirts for men", however it levels the playing ground significantly.
