Re: What feminine items do you wear?

So far my diabetes doesn't seem to have given me any neuropathy in the legs or feet, my hands, yes, a definite bit of numbness in the fingers which is not helping me with handling small objects and I am seriously thinking about giving up with my amateur guitar playing, always found the numbness of h...

Re: Scrubs as everyday wear

Does anyone here wear scrub skirts? Scrubs are not only for medical personnel anymore. They are simple, practical (with pockets), inexpensive, in many sizes and in a surprising variety of colors. All that I've seen are slightly longer than knee-length. You can also get scrub dresses. https://www.sc...

Re: A plea for skirts as a degendering measure

Do you have data to support this? Or is this your gestalt? Though I also have this feeling also, as I read it, I thought is it true? What worries me is that if "manly" skirts emerge, the evolution will stop dead there and we'll be constrained to idiot fabrics in drab colours. I make liberal use of ...

Re: Men in skirts around the world - Straw Poll

I haven't seen anyone else locally, although someone I know who spotted my skirt when I was chatting to him while in my car, he told me he wears one in the house but not outside. I have seen one or two in skirts in Glasgow apart from myself, over a lot of years, one or two more in lightweight hiking...

Re: Question

Well I live in Scotland, I have been in a grocery store and an old friend asked me why I had a kilt on. The “kilt” was a denim cargo skirt. If a Scot wants to call my blue denim cargo skirt a kilt, I am not going to argue!

Re: Greetings fellow skirt wearers

Hello, I'm new to this message board and just though I should say hi. Last year I got married in a kilt, my first foray into the world of non bifurcated leg wear. This year, with the scorching weather we've had (North West UK) I thought a skirt might be the sensible option. A few weeks ago I was ou...

Re: Progress - maybe lack of it

Getting back to the thigh rubbing, I have found it is no longer a problem for me, it used to be, but having lost a lot of weight due to illness, my legs have slimmed down enough that friction is no longer an issue.

Re: Sacaï Men's Spring and Resort 2023

Well spotted Hawkeye Stu. They are very much like the "divided" skirts, that our female gym teachers wore. There is a thread around somewhere on that very subject. In the flesh, I'd be pretty sure that they would appear even more "skirtish", no benefit of zooming in. Too pricey but I still like the...

Re: Humor - What can you add?

Must admit, I used to really like Tim Vine, we went to see him at the Edinburgh Fringe, ended up in a lot of pain from laughing. He is so quick that neither of us could remember any of his jokes, but he was so funny. there are a few comedians these days who are excellent with one liners, I see what ...

Attributed to Tommy Cooper:
"Your dog bit my leg the other day."

"Oh dear! Did you put anything on it?"

"No, he seemed to like it as it was."
That is very Tommy Cooper style! along the lines of:
Doctor Doctor, it hurts when I do this!
"Well don't do it then!"

Top from the Edinburgh Fringe Ten jokes made the 2022 shortlist: 1. "I tried to steal spaghetti from the shop, but the female guard saw me and I couldn't get pasta" - Masai Graham Is it because they are out of context or not being delivered by a comedian on stage? I heard the winner delivered by th...

Hi and welcome! if it helps I have openly worn skirts around Southampton airport and in Fareham, as always, no noticeable reaction from anyone, a complete non event outside my own head!
