Re: Coronavirus, how are you managing at home?

Just as a matter of interest, B&B, what is your favourite flight simulator? Would love the space, budget, time, skill to be able to put together a flight sim with life-size cockpit, 'real' instruments and controls and some fancy-pants screens to give me a wrap-around view of the (virtual) outside w...

Re: Corona Virus

Here in the UK, thanks to many groups of people completely ignoring the guidance, I wouldn't be surprised to see the lockdown taken further, and I wouldn't object to that. What seems to happen is that the Sun comes out, thousands of people think "Oh it'll be alright" and head for the nearest park/hi...

Re: Coronavirus, how are you managing at home?

Oh well, cassette deck re-assembled but one of the solenoids isn't solenoiding, probably got a cam in the wrong orientation. Screwed it together and gave up for now. Dinner now cooking! One day of work (at home) tomorrow, then off for some leave, erm, to stay at home. Hmmm.

Re: Corona Virus

Carl, Looking on from afar as I do, I don't see there being any chance of the truth being published, or believed over there. When you have the Leader of the U.S. denying the truth for as long as he did, and still twisting everything he says to try and talk the situation up, while also behaving like ...

Re: Corona Virus

Masks, hmm, I used to do face fit testing in the last place I worked. We withdrew the paper masks once we saw how useless they were, although we were trying to keep stuff out. To stop you infecting other people, used that way they would be a bit more effective, although you will need a lot of them,...

Re: Fashion advice (of sorts)

That's a very dictatorial set of rules there Uncle Al, for a site dedicated to folk breaking the "rules" and indulging in some fashion freedom (Don't like that phrase!). Guidelines and advice, no problem, but hard and fast rules for casual dressing? I would insert some form of smiley thing but hate ...

Re: Coronavirus, how are you managing at home?

I am re-furbishing an old Aiwa F770 cassette deck, have been for a while because they are sods to work on, now at last the mechanical bits are re-assembled, hopefully all that remains is to re-connect the spaghetti and solder the last wire then test it. Other than that, guitar practice, music listen...

Re: Keeping the manhood from poking out

How is a skirt with a hoop different from a hoop skirt? Don't take this the wrong way, there is no malice intended, how is "person of colour" better than "coloured person"? I know a person who does dog walking/training for what seem to be classed as assistance dogs, Their own dog should really have ...

One slight upside to the current crisis, Into day 3 without having to commit pant! Depending on temperature, either a long skirt or a knee length, it's nice to be comfortable and not conform, a pity it took the downfall of society to stay comfortable!

Re: Corona Virus

I would often leave work on a Friday and not speak to anyone until I got back to work on a Monday morning. However this is very different, basically house arrest and it is starting to feel like it! Keeping myself "sane" by watching the TV, but mostly by watching my favourite "streamers" on YouTube, ...

Re: Little advise please

I have to admit, once when I went into one of the local shops, I was asked why I was wearing a kilt, which surprised me because I was wearing a blue denim Midas knee length cargo skirt at the time!

Re: Little advise please

Living in Scotland, it is fairly easy to go into a Kilt shop and get measured up for a tailor made kilt that should last you a lifetime, the last one I bought wasn't cheap, from memory it cost £299 but that was for a twelve yard heavy wool kilt (I am not small). Once measured you leave the shop for ...
