Re: Got a skirt you are afraid to wear?

Several, bought through curiosity. Thought process has been known to go as follows: Wine is nice, watch a film or youtube video and see something, maybe a hobble skirt, maybe a skirt with train, maybe a hoopy something, think: Hmmm, I wonder what that would be like? Later that day/drink; Ooh look, m...

Re: "What was up with those giant Victorian skirts?"

Just to show how impractical they would be, imagine trying to get into a car wearing one, or sitting in the middle row on a flight, you wouldn't be very popular! I bought a 4 hoop petticoat out of curiosity, never worn it outside the house, well, not when it might be seen anyway, driving while weari...

Re: Pandemic Shutdown Skirting

Well there is a pandemic, and I am skirting: Working mostly from home, now that the weather is turning colder, I have just discovered the delights of having a low powered heater under the desk where I work, with a nice feeling of warmth as the heat wafts gently up my skirt, this will save me a fortu...

Re: Sightings "in the wild"

The more I see of Michael McIntyre, the more I dislike him, just not funny. I must admit I never took to Chubby, although I haven't really tried. I have seen Kevin Bloody Wilson once or twice, songs ok, banter between songs excellent, great evening or evenings! Billy Connolly I have loved ever since...

Re: Safety Tips for Winter Driving

I have only ever seen tyres like that on a bike in a city centre. Out where I live surrounded by mud, mountains and large bodies of water I have never seen anyone riding a bike like that. I have never tried riding one, and now my knees are giving up I probably never will. However the fatter theyres ...

The perfect song for Winter, I knew someone who won a poetry competition, just by writing out the lyrics to this here song:

Re: Gender-neutral school uniform collection, including a 'shirtskirt', launches in Taiwan

Okay, not Helensburgh, with the gift of Google I have found this here article, Lomond school, mentioned at the end as somewhere not kilty, is the one in Helensburgh: Kilts were often worn to School. Boys wore kilts to both state and private schools. But the cnventions varied at these different schoo...

Re: Gender-neutral school uniform collection, including a 'shirtskirt', launches in Taiwan

I remember seeing an article on the News about a private school in Scotland where the boys HAD to wear kilts at all times, I think it might have been a private school in Helensburgh, but I suppose it could have been a different one. From memory it was a boarding school, so there were boys living in ...

Re: Coffee Drinker?

I like coffee through the day, if it is good filtered coffee I drink it black and unsweetened, if instant it has to be a good one, strong, with a little milk and a spoon of sugar. Late afternoon onward I will switch to tea, little bit of sugar and a few drops of milk, so it is still dark, I hate mil...

Re: New boy on the block

Hi, and Welcome! Like you, I live in Scotland, I do own a couple of kilts but rarely use them, too heavy, too expensive to spill a drink on, too warm indoors, but by 'eck if I have to go to some sort of formal gathering or don't feel like wearing a skirt I do like to don the kilt. I think it was las...

Re: What is your favourite skirt length to wear?

I mostly like my knees to be covered, so just below knee length down to ankle length to floor sweepers. I do like decent sized pockets, however currently wearing one of my most comfortable skirts, a skater skirt, just below the knee, very loose, no pockets, incredibly comfortable to wear.

Re: Loss of Daylight Savings Time......

I must admit, I am using the latest oscillating system and keep it up to date, my 11 year old pc still copes adequately with 64 bit Win 10. it mostly lets me play my favourite simulators, apart from XP11 + Zibo, I have given up with that. Chrome + Ad block pro + FBP (keeps Facebook useable) help kee...
