Re: Coffee at the café.

For instant coffee, my favourite for many years was Carte Noire, now L'Or Intense, which is more or less the same stuff. For real coffee my favourite coffee comes from Taylor's of Harrogate, Hot Lava Java. I buy it in 1 kg bags from Amazon and when in a lazy mood I ask my dalek to grind and then fil...

Re: I don't remember this one being pointed out before

Reading the thesis would have taken less time and effort than listening to it. In any event, I do note that she used a more literal translation of the original work of Duteronomy 22:5 than the King James' translation, which was good. Unfortunately, altogether too many folks -- including zealots -- ...

Re: I don't remember this one being pointed out before

Sorry, I lasted all of two minutes of that clip. The verbal and graphics were just too fast for me. I was having to work hard to keep up with what she was saying - far too hard. Easier to give up. The graphics were there and gone before I could see what was being displayed. No, I gave up. What mess...

I don't remember this one being pointed out before

A really good details analysis of why skirts aren't more popular. I did struggle a bit with the speed and accent but I am not really awake yet! She raises the influence from the King James bible, I hadn't heard about that one before, that there translation has a lot to answer for! https://youtu.be/8...

Re: Hi everyone

Hi and welcome! I have been wearing skirts for years now, but there are still things I haven't had the courage to do, one of them is visiting my relatives in a skirt, or my mates in Sheffield, or go to work, although at work the team do know I wear skirts. As I don't have a large circle of friends a...

Re: Kilt-Entry Level Skirt

I have travelled to Sheffield and back by train, also I have walked, bussed, visited pubs etc. in Sheffield, both skirted and while wearing a kilt. Skirts were ignored completely, a kilt invites questions on the tartan, on your undercrackers. Also I have been walking through the centre with my mates...

Re: A Guy’s Guide to Getting Skirted

Sadly, he later "went dark", and was later found to have been formally charged with indecent exposure following an ill-advised "experiment". They say we learn from failure, although I have not seen compelling evidence. Most people learn from their mistakes, unfortunately they learn how to repeat th...

Re: What were you doing an hour ago?

Hi Tom, We might not get hurricanes but we do have some very damaging storms, I remember in my former workplace, a few miles up the loch, were during one storm the windymometer was pinned on full scale deflection for 20 minutes, 55 knots of wind! I think that was the storm that blew a security kiosk...

Re: What were you doing an hour ago?

Kirby, Strangely enough, the skirt didn't catch the wind excessively, unlike the gazebo, I had to remove the side panels and just hope that the roofy bit didn't take off! The skirt did get very wet though, for the rest of the day I kept finding wet bits as I moved. I think I would have ended up cold...

Re: Texas electric

The more I have seen over the past few years, the more I am convinced that the United States, on the whole, is insane, more insane than any other country I can think of, apart from those middle Eastern states that seem intent on killing their populations. Anyway, in my house, which is maybe 170 or 1...

Re: What were you doing an hour ago?

This morning, had the engineer out for my external oil fired central heating combi boiler which died at the weekend. So I spent the morning trying to stop the shelter (a gazebo) blowing away, gazebo bought so I could get the boiler worked on when Scotland was raining. Strong winds are a challenge. A...

Re: What were you doing an hour ago?

Not sure of the exact timings, so one of the following: Watching either US politics or canal vlogs on PooTube, Eating a mixed kebab on a naan, Fetching Amazon parcels from my shed, videoing my cats playing outside in the light covering of snow we have, fending off curious cats as I try to eat some i...
