Re: Where will we be in say... ten years?

The Warm weather of the past two years and now this summer of intense heat has brought out more young men in skirts than ever in the past. First and well publicized were the scholars in the U.K. With the Covid-19 shutdown of a lot of regularly scheduled youth activities, many young men are "Soc...

Re: one of the more interesting articles on the Exeter prote

Several of the boys found the skirt "quite refreshing" . Some of the schools have made the skirt a part of the Male uniform. The times, they are a changin'.

Cheers,
Steve

Re: Schoolboys protesting in Exeter, England

I found it interesting to note that when the headmistress stated that the shorts would be considered as a possible addition to the next school year's uniform, that several of the teens said that they would continue the rest of the school session in their skirts (about two weeks). As far as the datin...

Re: Skirt wearing in 2015

As i find trousers extremely uncomfortable for long periods of driving, I have generally worn skirts for this activity. For the last six years or so, I wear skirts or dresses everywhere except while at work, where the trouser is required. Very few people seem to care and all comments by the younger ...

Re: Are things getting slower here ?

The slowdown for me has been a change of service provider. I have moved from Boston and Residential Communications Network's High Speed Fiber Optic, to Plymouth with Verizon's much slower Fios system. At least here, everyone is used to the old guy in the skirt. Only positive comments, when any occur...

Re: Gestures of respect

I just bow as a normal male should, whether in a kilt or a skirt. I do not know these trouser things. They look so uncomfortable.

I grew up in kilts, and learned all my (bad?) habits in a kilt.

Cheers

Re: Fashion Freedom?

Same observation here. I custom a fabric and notion store called Jo-Ann Fabric. usually filled with women. Most of the time I am the only man in the store, and always the only one wearing a skirt or dress. While out and about at a shopping centre, I was stopped by two young gents, who enquired about...

Re: Not Noticed

Tee shirt and denim skirt with quarter socks and trainers. Went to a coffee shop for some tea and a pastry, then drove to the station for petrol at the self serve. Went to my mother in law's cottage, and climbed onto the roof to fix her TV antenna. After that task was finished, I went of to a local ...

Re: Sightings "in the wild"

This afternoon @ about 3:30 saw a gent in a Tripp or Lip Service skirt walking on Chestnut Hill Avenue up from Cleveland Circle in Brighton. I was driving and did not get to stop. He was busy listening to his headset music. took a left on Commonwealth Ave. Maybe I will get a chance to see him again....

Re: do you wear tights or not

I wear tights (pantyhose), leggings, or hose (stockings). Due to a need to keep some compression on my knees and lower legs, I have on some form of tight legwear almost all the time. This has been since an industrial accident many years ago. Thinner in the summer, thicker in the winter. beige or bla...

Re: What makes a skirt masculine?

I was raised on hand me down clothes at the early age due to costs, rationing, and convenience. Even the clothes my mom did buy were skirts. Much easier to deal with nappy (diaper) changing. I did not get my first trousers until I started public school. Even then, as soon as I was home changed into ...

Re: Black for a change

As a musician, it is the larger object of the music and other aspects of the show then myself. For the band that I perform in my on stage costume is generally a black skull cap, long sleeved black knit shirt, with a short sleeved black shirt over it and a floor length black skirt. During part of the...

Re: PICTURES OF MY SKIRTS

All of the skirts look great. There is no one "right" look. I wear kilts and skirts regularly, trousers very rarely. The comment above of teen age girls having no inhibitions seems to be spot on. I regularly custom a rather large shopping mall (two story building with a central promenade w...

Re: Wearing a Skirt in public ?

I am rarely seen in public in trousers. Usually in a kilt or a modern mens skirt, such as the Tactical 511, or Tripp NYC skirts. These bear a resemblance to a kilt in flat front and pleats to the rear. I have never had a comment about any of them here in Boston, or where I work in Plymouth, Massachu...

Re: Out and About -- In the World at Large

I wore capri length shorts today to a family get together. As soon as I walked in the door one of the family commented that it was a different sight. Most of this side of the family has never seen me wear anything other than a skirt. I guess that no one cares if you are wearing what you normally wea...
