Re: Skirt Brand Names

The last several skirts I've bought have been made by 'Universal Thread' sold at Target stores - last summer, 2 white jean pencil skirts, a khaki mini skirt with a 'paper-bag' styled elastic draw string waist and another light blue denim paper bag styled skirt. This summer, I bought a dark blue deni...

Re: The gender creative boy

Here's another story that recently appeared in the paper about a young boy who prefers clothes assigned to girls:

Re: Sightings "in the wild"

I've been wearing skirts out in public for the last 9 years or so. I've been to an Atlanta Braves game at Turner Field while wearing one. I've flown several times wearing them and received compliments from the flight attendants. I wear them to my church every week and am generally accepted by everyo...

My bed has (wears?) a skirt and the Christmas tree has one too! I always say that if they can wear one, so can I! :D

Re: A Basic computer from the 1920's

Thanks, Uncle Al, for posting the link. This organ reminds me of carousel/band/fairground organs, which play from paper rolls or cardboard books. Seeing and hearing two old Wurlitzer Military Band organs on the merry-go-round at Seaside Heights, NJ back when I was a kid is what started my interest i...

Re: Happy Birthday to

Thank you! As I usually do on the weekends, I wore a tan khaki skirt to church (sang in the choir.) Went to a late breakfast at a Waffle House and was aware of the curious looks, but no obvious reactions one way or the other to my alternative style. Afterwards at home, I changed into one of my Old N...

Re: Any other musicians here?

I play the woodwinds, the bassoon being my 'major' instrument. More recently, I've played flute and oboe at church on an irregular basis. There isn't enough time for me to be a regular member of an instrumental ensemble. I do (attempt to) sing in my parish choir every Sunday.

Re: How musical are we?

I have a degree in music education and used to be a school band director. I also used to teach private lessons on the woodwind instruments, mainly flute, clarinet and saxophone. My main instrument is the bassoon. I now sing and occasionally play flute in the choir at my church. I played this past we...

First venture out

I haven’t posted much since I became a member; I’ve been an observer (a.k.a. lurker.) I’ve been waiting to become more involved in the conversation until I went out in public wearing a skirt. The past several years, I’ve been ‘practicing’ by wearing them around the house and more recently in the fro...

Re: New posts?

There doesn't seem to be a link for new posts - is this true or am I missing something? Instead of the 'new posts' link, just click the 'View posts since last visit' on the upper right side after logging in. It does the same thing. I use it when visiting IMFF (which I believe is still down because ...

Possible Solution

For those of you who tried to view the video using Firefox, I finally figured it out. Below the view screen is a series of buttons. If you click on the 'settings' button, you'll see a list of media players and connection settings from which to choose. After I chose Windows Media Player and a 300 con...
