Re: Summer...to shave or not to shave?

Do you shave your legs to wear shorts??
If not, why should you shave your legs to wear a skirt..
They are the same legs and you are the same person..

My 5 cents.

Selfridges Gender Neutral Department

Three cheers for Selfridges.

And lets hope many more stores follow their lead.

Re: X-Kilt underway

The X-Kilt has many similarities to my Dinkum Kilt.

Re: Now cut that out!

Another option, which does require some spending, is to use a straight edge and a fabric cutter wheel available from all good haberdashery stores.

But the masking tape idea does sound good and so simple.

Re: Ties and skirts/kilts

This site provides some interesting history for the tie of today.

I agree that there is no real purpose for a tie today except as part of the uniform pushed upon business men.

Re: I'm looking for...

My Dinkum Aussie kilt has box pleats, slash pockets, velcro closure but I have not planned to make it from Denim at this stage. My Original Freeman also had hip pockets through the fell of the pleats. I am not ready to quote on custom kilts at this stage and I am not sure if I would take on the prob...

Re: Out and About -- In the World at Large

Save for the colour, that looks remarkably close to the bespoke one of mine from The Mouse Works. I find skirts a large improvement over trousers when it comes to comfort. This one is by Country Road and it is 4 tiers with elastic waist and lined with a half length under-skirt. Bought from an op sh...

Re: Out and About -- In the World at Large

This is what I wore out and about today. I started with a garden job and then walked my dog through town to the groomers and back home. Then walked back to pick up the dog but had a 1 hour wait while they finished him so I did a little window shopping. Later on my son and I took the dog for a walk a...
