Re: Men in Women's Shoes

I bought some Belle Hotter knee high boots last weekend in the sale and then are some of the most comfortable footwear I have worn, very highly recommended. The sales assistant could not have been more helpful and bought different styles for me to try on. Unfortunately only go up to a size 9 (43).

Re: Fingernails

Booked in for a Shellac manicure next Friday. I have had Shellac nails for a few years now but tend to get the nude colours. The nails just look healthy with a shine to them. No comments whatsoever.

Re: First outing in public

Hi Karl, I was very nervous like you when out but have worn my Macabi skirt out on a few occasions now with no problem at all. I have worn it to Sissinghurst Castle gardens, a vineyard and out and about and no comments or negative response at all.

Re: Men Wearing Nail Polish

I have been getting clear shellac on my finger nails for the last 3 or 4 months and really pleased how long it lasts. Have to get them done every 3 weeks. This morning at the nail salon, I noticed that my thumb nails were slightly yellow and mentioned it the the nail tech. She suggested a colour cal...

Skirts for Men article

Whilst browsing the internet I came upon this old article from 2012 and found on it a photo of me holding my daughter in my Macabi skirt when we lived in South Africa. Amazed that somebody wanted to use it!

Re: The New Macabi Skirt

I noticed that it is now on the website. Looks like I will have to persuade the wife that I need another Macabi!

Re: A New Approach to Explanations of My Skirt Wearing

I remember a few years ago when I bought a Macabi Skirt they gave away cards to give out to people interested in the skirt. It contained all the ways you could wear a Macabi and website details.

Re: Half Slips

Try typing "cool comfort slip" in ebay. Lots of different sizes and lengths to choose from. When I bought mine, they were perfectly plain but they now seem to have a small lace edge.

Re: A woman promoting men in skirts

You are right, it is a good read. After reading, I clicked on this link at the bottom of the page ( http://pinkisforboys.wordpress.com/2012/08/29/men-in-skirts/ ) and found on there a picture of me in a Macabi with my daughter taken years a go in Africa. She is coming up to nine now! It is amazing t...

Big and Bashful, those tents are great. I saw one at a recent festival and they even have a sleeping compartment. I do prefer the one next to it though!

Re: Old Cars

Looks good Kirbstone, the awning I was given with the camper looks like it comes from the 70's and weighs a ton. I am going to have to put it up in the garden and check it out. The trailer looks good and with all the toys my daughter wants to take with her I shall have to have a look at getting a to...

Re: Old Cars

We live in Norfolk in the UK. I was told a Uk one would need the bottom 6 inches replacing due to rust and that put me off a little bit. I do like the graphics on the side, it looks great. I have seen a few customised ones about. You are not "plebs" at all. I think I must have been going t...

Re: Old Cars

Hi Kirbstone, it has the 1700 pancake engine (air cooled). The reason I chose this one is that it has not been welded and has 80% original paint. It was made in 1973 and shipped over to New York before making its way over to California. Just need to get some curtains before using it for camping.

Re: Old Cars

Here is a pic of our new camper van, bought over from the states. It was difficult to get our daughter out on the first night, she wanted to sleep in it on the drive! We are looking forward to many weekend away it it.
