Re: Male Shirt Dress

I am not much of a dress wearer because the female shape never fits my body. In the topic "seeking opinion" Moonshadow shows why; the waist line of his dress is way too high. Now for the first time I see a guy wearing a dress shaped for a man's body and it looks perfect. In fact I could we...

Re: Thrift shops, Goodwill, Salvation Army

I bought one skirt in a thriftshop some time ago. It turned out to be a surprising happening. I 'll try to explane: The thriftshop is run by people with Down Syndrom and these always cheerfull people seem to have a very logical explanation of when clothes are for men or women. A sign outside the sho...

Re: Levi skirts

My first skirt ever was a Levi's. That's some 40 years ago, folks! The same style as shown but a bit longer, typical knee lenght.

Ah, those were the days...........................

Re: Saw a what I thought was a cool "skirt" today

The StyleJ cargo skirt I recently bought was a 34 inch which is exactly my waist size. It turned out to be about an inch too large however so I put in a filling band on the inner side of the waist band using textile adhesive and that did the trick; it now fits perfectly. The pic shows how to reduce ...

Re: Saw a what I thought was a cool "skirt" today

Those what we in Holland call "salopettes" were very popular is the sixties. I remember trying to buy one but they always were much too small. There was a guy working at the fishmongers stall in front of The Hague station who wore one as a kind of working apron but it definitely was a skir...

Re: Style J skirts

Skirtingtheissue
Thanks for the 3 links to Style J skirts. I immediately ordered the second, khaki, one.
Finally an American supplier giving inch sizes in stead of interpretable sizes.

Shipping costs to the Netherlands are higher than the price of the skirt. Oh well, so be it.

Re: London

Perhaps they refer to Charing Cross dressers........ I have been to London many times, mainly to visit the cosy markets like Camden High and Covent Garden. Some 30 years ago I wore a jeans skirt for the first time all three days long and got no remarks or so. I guess Londoners are used to tour...

Re: Hello from the canals of England!

Welcome here from Holland, just a swim away. Living in a boat sounds jolly nice and cosy! I wear A-line skirts with roomy pockets made of denim and Sportkilts. http://www.Sportkilt.com http://www.skirtcraft.com provides the right skirts but I know a German seamstress who makes man skirts to measure....

Re: 1/3 of men in Britain want to be able to wear skirts to

How is this guy in the pencil skirt going to sit, walk the stairs, cross the street within the 10 seconds of green pedestrian traffic lights and jump on the bicycle back home?
Not a good idea!

Re: Riding a Bike in a Skirt

Stuart, your bike is known here in the Netherlands as an "oma fiets" or Granny Bike.
They are very popular for their simplicity, ruggedness and affordability
