Re: What women really think
Perhaps there's a generational difference here, but I've had enough women hit on me while wearing a skirt that I really think the negative attitudes of women is being overplayed on this forum. I'm in my thirties and relatively fit so perhaps I'm a bit privileged in this regard. I can see how a lot o...

Re: Clothing envy - does it dissipate?
Women don't wear sexy clothes to attract men. They wear them because it feels good to look good. It's the same reason you like wearing skirts. Having started wearing "sexier" outfits, I can confirm it's quite nice to feel hot. No it isn't. You really have to distingush between the good fe...

Re: Clothing envy - does it dissipate?
Yes, looking/feeling hot will be tied to ones sense of sexuality and attraction. It's still important to distinguish dressing for others vs yourself.

Re: Clothing envy - does it dissipate?
Uniform of one, unique to yourself Grok, grammatically dubious but still true. Apart from the current climate, as boys it is very unusual to be encouraged to experiment in such a way as to develop a "personal" style. As things stand that will likely deteriorate further before we see impro...

Re: Clothing envy - does it dissipate?
The other aspect of womens clothes is 'sexy'. It's said that these women's clothes are designed by men for the male gaze. Surely though they would not buy them? Women do not buy clothes to please men, so do they buy them? They are revealing after all. None of it makes sense. Women don't wear sexy c...

Re: Clothing envy - does it dissipate?
@DrFishnets - It sounds like you've arrived at a great place with your clothing and style. I'm also a fan Dr. Martens, however they don't offer the heeled women's versions in a size that fits me :( So, I guess I still have some envy around that. For myself, I still experience some clothing envy. I'm...

Re: Skirted Style in Atlanta
This is not about "The Video" as I haven't watched it. With the current discussion, I probably won't. Now, about "The Style" of this designers skirts. I would not wear one, at any time. PERIOD :!: They are, IMHO, a extremely short, Micro-Mini skirt. NOTHING IS LEFT TO THE IMAGIN...

Re: Skirted Style in Atlanta
Thanks for sharing your thoughts TSH. Yeah, I didn't want to comment on the racial element of this particular story, but I appreciate hearing your thoughts. The other thing playing in is Atlanta is widely considered the DL capitol of the US. It seems some of the negative commentary are making that c...

Re: Skirted Style in Atlanta
You can follow this guy on Instagram. His username is @ai.cashh He's continuing to post content everyday of him wearing his skirts. With over 300K followers, he's probably doing more to steer the needle than anyone on this forum.... I find the whole situation really interesting, with several layers ...

Re: Skirted Style in Atlanta
I just skimmed parts of the first video. It's sad to see how disapproving they are along with the comments. Some of the men she talks about have been making a splash on social media which I've been happy to see. I guess it comes with the territory that there's going to be pushback.

Re: Wearing dresses
That looks like a great choice. It's a bit of an androgynous looking dress to my eye with the chest being de-emphasized and kind of an exaggerated shoulder silhouette. I like subtle the geometric lines. Dresses have to be the most comfortable garment to wear.

Re: What women really think
I stand by what I said. The rainbow mob, as referred to by me are a political group. If they want to be as they wish, I have no objection but do object to their proselytising; live and let live but don’t shove it down my throat. There is too much political discourse on the forum. We should not be e...

Re: What women really think
You can't borrow the culture that surrounds those garments....everything is contextual. A nice question to ask yourself when thinking about that is what do citizens of those cultures wear when they immigrate to western Europe and the US? They largely assimilate. It's easy to point out how arbitrary ...

Re: What women really think
The rainbow mob have nothing to do with us. They are just another interest group pushing their own agenda. We are about men wearing what they like. We are not interested in anything else, whether some think it relevant or not. Anyone wishing to debate or advocate the rainbow mob should decamp to an...
