Re: Streetwear Footwear

I have read description of dresses being unisex design that is marketed to women. Rule 1) "Unisex" is a coded term, dating back to the 1960s, that refers solely to the "butching up" of women. It has no applicability to men and never has . It's a one-way street, and the women hav...

Re: A beautiful skirt

Even in the land of MIS there is not a lot take up in huge petticoat deptment. I agree everyday is the perfect day for a beautiful dress. I have tried and sadness, I looked dreadful. A hairy chest and shoulders just aren't made for nice dresses. I wear petticoats fairly frequently during the winter...

This is especially true for people living in backward (or failed) countries. In fact, it's most of it.

Beans, beans, beans, the musical fruit. The more you eat the more you toot. The more you toot the better you feel. So, let's have beans, beans, beans. :D :D :D I have always heard it go So, let's have beans at every meal!! It is supposed to rhyme with feel!    When I was a ...

Re: MIni Dresses & Skirts for Men

Equality and such is a good and noble goal - but I have a hard time thinking there's a way to spin this for the general public as it seems a very superficial act when compared to, say, making good hiring decisions, setting equal wages, and so forth. Women largely won this by the late 1970s, and hav...

Re: Wear a skirt, be your own hero

Gender norms have softened so much that he could leave the house in a skirt without thinking twice. Not so much for us oldies (with the exception of Stevie and others who have long past the threshold of caring). Do you suppose it's "gender norms" or merely "attire norms"? Really...

Re: Support Gropup?

Oh, absolutely women are more than welcome here. However, women who seem to accept and support guys in skirts are even thinner on the ground than we are -- which, I suspect, is why we're rather bachelor-heavy.

Re: MIni Dresses & Skirts for Men

The main problem here is that we're skirting applying "circular logic" here -- and that never works. Here's the main reason that men don't wear skirts: Men don't wear skirts. Full stop. Think about that for a moment and let the insanity sink in. We need to fight this. Consider: 1) The prob...

Re: So my wife got me a handbag for Christmas….

I absolutely hate and detest (do you get the I don't like it?) the word "Man-Bag". There is no need for such as word in the English language. it is simply a bag or a purse! We don't call women's backpacks a "WomanPack" do we? See how absurd it is! There is the funnier term of &q...

Re: MIni Dresses & Skirts for Men

And the sea isn't going to change until we men stop doing things that is only halve way done. We ourselves are part of the problem. As long we give a blind eye to the fact retailers only gives a visual that garment is for female by having female models portray in it. You're leaving out the elephant...

Re: MIni Dresses & Skirts for Men

There are social issues related to where we can wear them but that is hardly going to change because the skirt has been sold to us as unisex. Precisely. Until there is a sea change in men's attitude to wearing skirts and other "open ended" garments, then the whole idea will go nowhere. It...

Re: Don't worry, most people know we're not trans

When I am out and about I get called "Ma'am" many time. I consider it a compliment. That is fine if that is how you are wanting to portray yourself This comment sums it up beautifully. If that's the way you wish to portray yourself . I rather suspect that the majority of guys do not wish ...
