Re: skirted member of Parlement in Portugal

Add a bit more to the hem and it would resemble a priestly cleric garment sans the roman collar and that would take care of the green colored sox.

I sent you a PM..
PM received:

Not a guest friendly forum - requiring membership to view !
Therefore unable to offer any critic.
Unless the primary topic theme of that forum is something UNBIFURCATED aka skirts dresses
it will not past muster inclusion at the SkirtCafe.

Re: Skirting in another forum

I sometimes visit another forum that has a subject not usually welcome here. I do know that a few of our members are also members there. I found that many are skirt and dress wearers and are getting out there in the wilds of shopping malls and doctors offices etc. They report the same lack of react...

Re: WARNING!!!

I had a call, the caller ID showed A T & T., which is my landline phone company. Turned out it was a robo call. I called A T & T to let them know about the spoofing of their company numbers. The were/are aware of the spoofing & have contacted the FCC. Now the tracing begins & A T & T will procecute...

Re: WARNING!!!

Play along with the crooks - try to keep the conversation going for a few moments - then take the wind out of their game - - - " OFFICER DID YOU GET ENOUGH OF A RECORDING AND A TRACE ON THIS CALLER?" Watch'em hang up and the line go dead. Never answer "YES" to any of the questions asked of you - - -...

Re: "Black Friday" (ugh...) shopping at Shein

If you read the comments they often tell you how accurate the measurements are. Fingers crossed...but they can always be returned. I would rather have 34" than XL; those terms are meaningless; when I buy stuff off e-bay I ask the seller exactly the width/length rather than risk L, EL etc. returning...

Re: Bridges...

I worked at a shipyard and if we built ships with the same amount of trouble, half the personnel would be suffering from heart attacks or ulsters. Before a project like this gets underway, a lot of research has been done and they know of all the problem spots. And there is always a Plan B at the re...

Re: How do I do ??? ?

Thanks CR ! There are now alternates to the default "prosilver" style, and those can be selected from the "User Control Panel" under "Board Preferences" and then "Board Style". Went there and selected AllanStyle SUBSILVER - perfect And YES glad that - At least the Forum is back on the air (online) !

Re: Bridges...

Amazing - thoroughly entertaining - except for the length of time to view the video it was almost as long as the time to build the damn bridge - wee bit of hyperbole ! Kirbstone has it been opened to traffic and have you made an inaugural transit ? When we lost a section of the I35W in Minneapolis M...

Re: How do I do ??? ?

OK - how do I change the COLOR scheme of the web page ? I don't find the bright blue all that appealing AND Blue is supposed to be bad on the eyes ! I would like to see a subdued gray with pitch black print. It may very well be since I am not the Administrator I can't be the sorcerous apprentice ! L...

Re: Out and About -- In the World at Large

My house looks down on the valley where the main London-Bristol line runs, it really cheers me up on occasions to look out of the back bedroom window and spot a plume of steam making its way along the valley or hear a distant whistle as an excursion returns during the evening. I'll bet! 'Round here...

Re: Understanding friends.

So. As some of you might know, mr tackeberry recently came out wearing skirts. So we have some friends. A couple, he dared to come out to them. And their reaction was not what he thought. At all. Quite the opposite. They were supportive. And complimented him on his choice of skirt. So a lesson here...

According to Wikipedia: The most common usage is for former armed services personnel. A veteran is one who has served in the armed forces, especially one who has served in combat. The National Guard and Reserve is included. It is especially applied to those who served for an entire career, usually o...
