Re: How to normalise skirts for men: proactively reduce the barrier to entry

Stu will perhaps remember the Topman venture into kilt like skirts for men that ended up on the sale rail very quickly indeed. ASOS had a few unisex designs available last year but they have gradually dwindled away. It is odd that some chaps wear midi length shorts all year round and never consider ...

Re: Sad News

This is very sad news, how precarious life can be. Never really engaged with him in 'conversation' but seemed like a very nice chap who was more than willing to put heaps of work into his projects and life. RIP.

Re: back pain

I fractured L1 25+ years ago via an accident on my mountain bike. Back then, once it had healed I struggled with chronic back pain. My then doctor suggested Yoga. Highly recommended, after a few months of attending yoga just once a week the pain was substantially reduced. I still do yoga stretches a...

Re: Men in skirts dot org

The HTML is old, some of it is now deprecated. The Web Editor used is now upto version 9.0 from the version 4.0 used to create it.

I wonder who the person is, whether they are still with us or whether they need a hand with it.

Most odd.

Re: Does anyone assume you are transgender?

A couple of times over the years I have been mis identified. Usually, I reply with 'I'm a bloke' and smile! In rural France a few years ago whilst wearing trousers and a teeshirt I popped in a busy cafe and sat at a table, the waiter came along and said 'Madam', I smiled, replied with something and ...

Re: Kris' Atrium

Gosh, it was a while back in the halcyon days of 56K or ISDN! Oh my, you just gave me an ISDN flashback. Working on an early website for a big NYC book publisher, working remotely in a rural area. My only choices of ISP were constantly overloaded dialup or getting an ISDN line run some ungodly numb...

Re: Kris' Atrium

I used to visit Chris' Atrium a fair bit, I really liked the photograph of Chris in a Wedding Dress with the beard. I vaguely remember him closing the board down and I was sad at the time as the forerunner to this board was quite kilt biased. Gosh, it was a while back in the halcyon days of 56K or I...

Re: Nightwear/House dress?

I have three or four nightdresses very similar in style that have lasted years, it looks like they have changed from supima cotton to standard cotton recently though: https://s7.landsend.co.uk/is/image/LandsEnd/542714_LEPP_FF_HME?$lg$ https://www.landsend.co.uk/Womens_Short_Sleeve_Cotton_Nightdress_...

Re: Pretty Red Dress - film on BBC2 (UK) last night

I didn't see the film but a quick Internet Search yielded a review:

Sounds interesting.

Corrected.

Re: Snag Tights

Strangely, despite having made half a dozen orders with Snag over the last few years I have never thought to write to them, so well done for that :) I would guess that quite a large number of their customers are already men without them needing to change anything, after all they do go up to quite la...

Re: Dresses?

This spring and summer I haven't worn any skirts at all, I have really taken to dresses, I particularly like dresses that you can just pull over your head. The recent trend for tiered smock style dresses is great for that, loose and comfortable and don't slide down or dig in, brilliant.

As the Butthole Surfers once said:

"Well son, a funny thing about regret is that its better to regret something you have done than to regret something you havent done"

Also, well done and keep it up!

Re: Tom Manuel of TomsCafe, died 20 years ago today.

Time flies, I remember Tom's Cafe and can only praise the dedication he must have had to open and maintain a forum in a niche area of interest. Obviously I never met him but he seemed like a very nice chap based on his posts.

Re: Overly Flamboyant Outfits Detrimental to Mainstreaming MIS?

I love the idea of trying to create rules for breaking the rules :?: For me anything legal and decent is OK. OTT is great occasionally! The flamboyant folk are doing you a massive favour, liken it to a fancy sports car in the supermarket car park, everybody looks at the Lamborghini and so fails to n...
