Re: Mississipi School Discriminate Transgender Girl
I agree that in a perfect world, parents should be in the loop. However where you get parents who think their daughter should not know how her own body works, until she is married or not ever. IMHO the state needs to step in and give basic human knowledge to all young people. In the UK this is not ...

Re: Pride
There is no longer a place at the table for plain old straight guys any longer, and more than a few of us are quite angry about that. All favour and benefits are falling to the distinct minority and the majority isn't particularly happy with it. I'll posit there will be no peace until everyone gets...

Re: Pride
Come to think of it africa, the middle east, and certain parts of southeast asia, these cultures have mens skirts as normal attire, and homosexuality/genderbender or whatever is not even remotely considered okay.

https://ca.movies.yahoo.com/movies/2015-11-24-school-celebrates-skirt-day-where-boys-were-skirts-and-girls-21271696.html short of it is there's an annual event for guys to wear skirts. So it is possible TM. I wrote to twenty schools in my area last year with exactly that proposal on world skirt day...

Re: Pride
I wouldn't go near one, that's the last kind of association men in skirt needs. I think the pride movement has allowed the space for a whole range of minorities to live in a civilised world. Please note, around the world, places where the pride movement is not accepted are probably also tough place...

Re: Where will we be in say... ten years?
Until the majority of men view their existing clothing options as inadequate, there will be no change. We will be here on SkirtCafe in the same place 10 years from now. We need to remember that the average Joe views clothing as totally utilitarian and goes to Costco to purchase 10 identical trouser...

Jamie McCrimmon, present for most of the 2nd doctor(at least the episodes that are left). Has any tv series had someone in a kilt anywhere near as long?

outside of the kilt world, it's pretty much either women's or homemade for me.

Re: Skirts in the sunshine
shorts and sunshine are kind of how I gravitated to skirts. I always wore long pants before and shorts were out of the question for me. I would tell people I wouldn't be seen dead in shorts. then a few summers of record heat began breaking my resolve, and being too cheap to get a kilt at the time I ...

Re: giant skirts
So our square dance club was having a sale to get rid of their stuff that they don't have space for. $1 per item. If I ever wear this around I'll probably do some modifying, it feels a little short. but now at least I have examples of how petticoats are constructed for future reference.

Re: Skirt wearing boys in Japan
I doubt that many people in Japan would see anything wrong with skirts for men. I gather they don't have the same stigma of "crossdressing" that western culture does, for example crossdressing bars are popular over there. Supposedly it's not even that unusual for men to wear women's kimono...

Re: Skirts in Schools - No hope for boys
This is not completely true. Artsy and geeky, and goth women for the most part are the best prospects. Most of these women also have alternative fashion stroll. Stay away from conservative women because you may get the famous Duteronomy verse hurled at you! Don't ever give up who you are for anyone...

that feeling when you realize no one in the general public mind, yes.
