Language for Men's Skirts and Skirted Men
I have a couple recent articles on the language some people use in our space, and potential terms that could be used: What Do You Call a Man in a Skirt? Every Term, Explained. A Gentleman’s Guide to Skirt Euphemisms The latter is a bit tongue-in-cheek, but (I think) also includes some useful terms. ...

Re: Stickers for men in skirts
I keep meaning to put some of the stickers in high traffic areas, to make passersby think. Sorry Chip, worthy try but it won't really do anything for fashion freedom for men. Might make some folks smile, in these days, a good cause indeed! Steve. I don't think the stickers alone will have an effect...

Re: Stickers for men in skirts
Sorry for being a 'wet blanket' but, IMHO, "stickers" are a kindergarten approach, not professional in any way. Yes, they're definitely not trying to be professional. Appreciate your feedback though. I think that the stickers are great. I interpret the purpose of the leg hair as indicatin...

Re: Stickers for men in skirts
I think the hair is necessary for this graphic, lest you know it is a male. This was my thinking. I know many skirted men shave their legs, but aside from large feet (generically comical), there was little else to show that it's a male—and yes, woman can have hairy legs too, but it's less common in...

Re: Confidence Playbook
Your Confidence Playbook looks amazing! I love how it mixes inner growth with real actions. The parts on mindset and self compassion are so helpful, especially for new skirtonians. One tip I'd share is starting with small wins and having a favorite skirt or item that boosts confidence instantly. Ca...

Re: Getting past fears of being perceived as gay, trans, etc.
Wear skirt or a or a dress and some will think you are gay or trans. It can't be helped. Heh, I started a list a little while back... A man in a skirt MUST be gay, trans, opportunistic, fetishistic, weak, emasculated, weird, or insane—or maybe he's crossdressing, rebelling, or doing a lark 😂 It def...

Weekly drop-in group starting January
I'm starting a free weekly video call in the new year for men and anyone exploring style beyond traditional masculine norms. This will be a space to connect and share insights, challenges, and strategies around skirts and owning your style. As far as I know this type of thing isn't being offered. Th...

Re: Confidence Playbook
My usual "go to" is to "own the situation you're in", which is to say that you're 100% aware of it, including all risks, and have mitigation procedures in mind if anything crops up. "Always have a 'Plan B'", is a good mantra. Other than that, it's pretty easy. Be yours...

Re: Confidence Playbook
Confidence or the Nike "Just do it" is so important to pulling off a skirting look. Even though I wear a skirt everyday, there are still times that new things or people crop up and "Danger klaxons" going off in my brain have to be silenced with buckets of confidence and the comm...

Re: Confidence Playbook
@Chip - everybodyskirts is such a well put together site. You have clearly put a lot of effort into building these pages. There are a lot of pages and links to work through - I'll update this thread when I have a little more time to absorb the content. It looks like several SkirtCafe members have c...

Confidence Playbook
I wrote another guide, this time around a playbook for skirted confidence: everybodyskirts.com/blogs/posts/the-skirt-confidence-playbook It was a culmination of my own experience, related research, and a few precursor blog posts. These are the areas it covers: Inner growth Inspiration Mindset Healin...

Re: Getting past fears of being perceived as gay, trans, etc.
I find the biggest hurdle to wearing skirts in public is the one in my head. I have recently built up the courage and confidence to start wearing skirts out and about, but it takes a bit of mental gymnastics. I like the analogy of jumping out of a plane mentioned previously. I just have to say “Let...

Re: Getting past fears of being perceived as gay, trans, etc.
I do not care anymore what anyone thinks of me. I have found my happy place and frankly cannot believe that I get to work and play in a skirt every day. There is nothing that I cannot do in a skirt or is barred to me by wearing a skirt. I now see a skirt I like and as long as it is available in my ...
