Re: Tights? What Tights?
I believe that the latter looks much smarter, and without any sense of being ‘feminine’. For real? Crop that photo at the waist, and I would swear I was looking at a girl. The tights disguise any leg hairs and the sinewy look characteristic to men. Sorry, just being honest. That's where the brain g...

Re: On the topic of chatbots...
Since ScotL is not a chatbot user (but a technically inexperienced user accessing the forum mainly on a phone), this was deeply hurtful to him (as he told me in PMs), since he saw himself merely as a keen and curious contributor. Personally I thought it was extremely insulting to label a user as a ...

just not one festooned with tattoos, swears like a sailor, smokes like a chimney, and is unconcerned with those around her. Add to that the "previous" they all seem to have with the same type of antisocial, thoroughly unsavoury individual, and usually with a souvenir or two to show for it...

Re: Skirt shorts, skirt pants
Can't really say I'm a fan of these halfway-house type garments. But I am all for them going mainstream and becoming commonplace, especially the type in the second link, which is virtually indistinguishable from a skirt at first glance. Makes it a whole lot easier to stealth the Real McCoy out there...

Re: The Voice of Fashion: Why Men Don’t Take So Easily to Skirts
That's common sense. I would not wear a formal dress to operate any heavy equipment. Function over form. Too much material to get caught on/in moving parts. That's a safety issue :!: My health, and well being, are more important than what clothing I choose to wear. Is it wrong that I'd be more worr...

Re: The Voice of Fashion: Why Men Don’t Take So Easily to Skirts
The problem is that men are always seeking approval from other men. I don't GAF if other men approve or not. Seeking approval by limiting what you wear is giving other people control of your lives and being a sheep. Do you want to be a sheep and follow the herd, or do you want to break free from th...

Re: A deep curtsey!
anything feminine from the past is seen as lower, secondary. I'm not sure I would agree. I would argue that it's just seen as soft, not necessarily lower or secondary. And of course, there's supposedly never a good reason for men to want to be soft. Women wanting to be "hard" on the other...

Also purging is never the answer. Before I learned by lesson, I have purged so many times in the past and re-purchased all of the feminine stuff that I purged within one year. Bless ya! Never fear, my skirts are going nowhere. They may stay behind closed doors, but stay they shall.

Re: The Voice of Fashion: Why Men Don’t Take So Easily to Skirts
There is another way to look at this: If she reacts negatively to your skirt wearing even after you explain the double standard regarding male/female fashion, you do not want her in your life anyway! You want people that accept you for who you are, not who you pretend to be! Pretending is not livin...

- If I'm chatting with a woman that I want to become my girlfriend, there is no chance for the latter to happen if she thinks I'm trans or gay There's definitely no chance for that to happen if she thinks her friends will think you're trans or gay. It all comes down to tribalism. Go against the tri...

Re: Compliments
I always go high-waist. My style would look very odd (odder?) if I tried to go hipster.
I do remember how unnatural and uncomfortable it felt when I first started skirting though. Definitely an acquired taste.

Re: Yoink!!
Mini or longer, it doesn't matter that much. The price will increase with the length due to the amount of textile, but the time to make the skirt will stay virtually the same. And this is the biggest part of the price if you go to a local seamstress. :?: If you make them yourself, then I'm sorry, b...

Re: Yoink!!
Double circle skirts are as rare as rocking horse poo. I would love to find one in a mini length (skirt that is). :) Don't I know it. They're usually dedicated to dancing, so there just isn't the same demand for them as there is for single circle. This will be the first that I haven't had to custom...

Re: Yoink!!
Nice! Thanks, MB! :) It has pockets and a back zipper, which...not really my thing. I prefer the shell of my skirts completely unbroken, but it is great to have one of these pop up at a reasonable price, instead of having to custom commission a seamstress. (incidentally, this lady is happy to take ...
