I think there's no choice here than to put it down as a typo. Even if they deliberately used 'her' instead of the traditional 'he', I don't see a massive problem?
I'm more concerned with the persistent and ongoing denigration of men.

Re: A beautiful skirt
Ok here's the rub from my point of view. It all depends on what your head is telling you, yelling in your ear 'I want that'. If I listened to everything that voice says I would end up not far adrift from a Disney Princess outfit. Probably because I was denied it as a child. Ram dressed as lamb you ...

Re: A beautiful skirt
Also the skirt is a bit Scarlet O''Hara. Not really suited to a 58 year old man. I should stick to.something a bit more sensible. I am 60, and I refuse to be limited by the age thing. I want to remain interesting, not be held back by having to be sensible......If I was sensible, I would still be in...

Re: MIni Dresses & Skirts for Men
I do not need manufactures to show me what would look good on a male model I think it's a chicken and egg situation. Do MIS influence other men to explore fashion freedom? Do fashion houses promote fashion that the population follows? I think it's great that designers and influencers are out changi...

Re: David Ross Lawn
I've never heard about him either. I did try to listen to his 'piano-esque' music which sounded like his interpretation of - - something ..... I really didn't hear anything original. About 2 minutes of my time wasted, when I clicked out of the 'link'. Not my cup of tea :!: He gives me the impressio...

Re: A beautiful skirt
As for it's actual value based on the material and the work that went into it? I couldn't make a living at £70. Unfortunately, most of the garment industry is built on screwed up cost of manufacture. I really shouldn't be able to buy a new skirt, delivered to my door all the way from China for £17....

Re: A beautiful skirt
Even at 4AM in the morning, 19.7 X 2 equals something like 39.4 which is about a meter. Not slim/thin. Looks elastic though and would hold up well around a 34-36 inch waist. Looks like it's about 22" to the hem also, which is modest enough. Scarlet O'Hara from 'Gone with the Wind' had a 17&quo...

Re: A beautiful skirt
That is a Laura Ashley skirt. The label says Size 16, 500mm measured roughly across the top would be about right. Nice skirt, but you are paying for the name and heritage of the skirt. I have no idea, but a follower of fashion may know the difference between and therefore value of various different...

Re: David Ross Lawn
Do you think they are just looking away? If you were in their family then they would act in the same way as your own family? The stigma exists, but I still think it's the initial step that is more of a wall than a step. I don't know. I would say strangers have never averted their eyes - but I also ...

Re: Wear a skirt, be your own hero
Gender norms have softened so much that he could leave the house in a skirt without thinking twice. Not so much for us oldies (with the exception of Stevie and others who have long past the threshold of caring). I think the only reason women feel so entitled to wear the clothes they do is because th...

Re: David Ross Lawn
I guess I mean to say stigma among family. Because - at least in my experience - the general public don't seem to care. Do you think they are just looking away? If you were in their family then they would act in the same way as your own family? The stigma exists, but I still think it's the initial ...

Re: David Ross Lawn
With #2, there's a major stigma we the common folk are going against and trying to overcome. I live in a conservative small town. I'm almost always in a skirt, although I wear trousers or a dress once in a while. I don't find any major stigma. Probably some folks used to talk about me behind my bac...

Re: David Ross Lawn
He doesn't put me to shame BM. The dude is a performer and the beard/dresses combo don't harm his fan base. For that matter, neither does the abuse, for every bit of criticism there will be those who will rush to his defence, More to the point, is he an accomplished and entertaining musician? Nah, ...
