Re: Overly Flamboyant Outfits Detrimental to Mainstreaming MIS?

Generally, the word "skirt" will be assumed to be a label for a female garment. Labels, what are they really? What about LGBTQ ? Lesbian, gay, bi, trans and queer. There's nothing wrong with being anyone of those 'labels'. Call me anything you want that's up to you, it doesn't change who ...

Re: Overly Flamboyant Outfits Detrimental to Mainstreaming MIS?

Yep they are all here posting away and if they saying anything about anything other than super straight MIS there's gasps all around like somebody wee'd on the strawberries. Not from me. I don't care what other people do or how they live their life. But it's always been this way and probably always...

Re: Overly Flamboyant Outfits Detrimental to Mainstreaming MIS?

I don't give a crap if skirts are mainstream for men or not. The last thing I want is more rules regarding what I should and shouldn't be wearing from the MIS group. Really? If that's the case why is this MIS goup so fixated on just straight men in skirts? There are men on this forum who openly gay...

Re: Overly Flamboyant Outfits Detrimental to Mainstreaming MIS?

I get what Luibang is trying to do. Correct me please if wrong: you want to find something skirtwise which will be acceptable male garment. One that will be picked up by average Joe and bunged on like a pair of jeans. That would be great, it really would. There are however some fields, rivers, mount...

Re: Overly Flamboyant Outfits Detrimental to Mainstreaming MIS?

I love the idea of trying to create rules for breaking the rules :?: For me anything legal and decent is OK. OTT is great occasionally! The flamboyant folk are doing you a massive favour, liken it to a fancy sports car in the supermarket car park, everybody looks at the Lamborghini and so fails to ...

Re: Platform shoes - unisex

I've got pair of Crocs. I've had them for years, super tough and comfy. I sling my legs over the bed most mornings into my Crocs and head off to the bathroom.
Mind you, I wouldn't go out in them.

Re: Overly Flamboyant Outfits Detrimental to Mainstreaming MIS?

Meetings are good for the sanity of MIS and perhaps family unity. But does not further the cause. I think Stevie is suggesting the news articles - describing "regular blokes" - wearing skirted outfits - helps further the cause. Absolutely Coder, news articles by genuine MIS are fantastic ...

Re: Overly Flamboyant Outfits Detrimental to Mainstreaming MIS?

As I recall the first meeting in Peterborough, led to the London meetings. Would that have happened without my intervention? The Herald article, published in March last year happened with a little help from me. I could go further, but I am surprised by your question. Steve. Would that have happened...

I cannot see how full on femme impersonation harms the cause, nor your own stated actions furthering it.
Stevie how do you further the cause?

Re: Overly Flamboyant Outfits Detrimental to Mainstreaming MIS?

To add perspective to our cause, I saw Mark Bryan pop up on a Facebook feed. He was wearing a skirt, heels as always, shirt and tank top. There were approximately 80 comments to follow. 54 very negative comments ranging from not right to injury. There were 18 positive comments in line with freedom a...

Re: Is anyone else trying to learn a language?

That second Priest's house looks Irish. Could be North-country English, but when the Brits were here they built a lot of country rectories/vicarages like that. The fanlight over the front door is typical. The dull weather also. Tom Tom it is indeed a priest house. In fact I have a photo of the hous...

Re: Red or Brown?

Ketchup isn't too difficult to make even in small quantities. In our house we are trying to steer clear of too much sugar. We are all starting to get a bit fat. I only recently fully understood the effect of sugar on our metabolism. Not easy when practically everything is loaded with sugars.

Re: MIS Skews Older?

Rightly or wrongly the simple answer is I (think I) would be single in a minimum wage job if I did not conform. Reflecting back to 1981, my last year in school. I would have been sent home if i had gone school in a school skirt to change. In 1983 when I met my first real girlfriend, would she have d...
