Re: Kilting Diversity
I am so glad I joined this forum ...Originally I came on just for kilting . I must own up to the fact that I saw nothing in skirts or dresses to be perfectly honest . In recent times though I have witnessed some compelling , well reasoned and common sense ideas why skirts are equally or dare I say m...

Re: Kilt length - advice requested
I for one love the 18 inch length kilt, it seems perfect me especially for running and hiking. I normally would not wear 18 " and in that case it was worn to hip height to demonstrate to my friend what it looks like compared to a regular length kilt ..I was in a mood enough to be silly about i...

G'day back. r.m and Barleymower .Re the photo.. I took the [photo for my friend and wore it as if it was one of my standard 24" kilts to demonstrate to her the difference .. When I wear it at trouser point (low on the waist ) its more normal . It's an 18 " womens kilt and the only one I ha...

Re: Male Drab
Its a good term ...male drab . Generally that's what blokes clothing is a lot of the time . For all of my life I've conformed to normal and often that translates to drab and boring . In a lot of ways it's because we are dictated to as what to wear. Probably happened since we stood erect from the ape...

Re: Kilt length - advice requested
G'day again ... On a roll ...I tried my hand modifying a pre owned mini kilt yesterday ..I also mentioned it in another thread but wanted to add a photo here given the length is a key . Would only be about 18 " in a pinch but once I moved a logo so it could still be seen and swapped over the ki...

G'day ...I'm 63.. I am a few kilos overweight too... I can get away with standard mens kilts because the sash tends to hold an unflattering tummy in..Helps actually... No good in a skirt until now ... I have had two of these female mini kilts for a fair while Probably five years,, The other day whil...

Re: Kilt length - advice requested
I really like it...so did Ann...I think because it's different is the main reason...I'll be honest when I put it on just with a belt it just makes me feel a bit Racey and I'm not really... Wasn't expensive either and arrived quicker than I expected. At some stage in the future I'll buy another one.. ...

IMG_20240103_075044 (1).jpg ..This is what tickled Ann (my friend and workmate) re previous post .. I bought this brand new from Pakistan three years ago ..It's a skirt to be totally correct as it doesn't open up like a normal kilt ... It really is a bit cheeky and doesn't leave lots to the imagina...
