Re: Skirtish kilt
I’ve had a breakthrough with Mrs TB recently, who knows of my liking for skirts and has suggested I buy a kilt as a compromise. They just felt right and super comfortable then ..I continued to wear them and still do ..I have maybe 10 of them and some quite lairy striped ones in among them .. I had a shocking car smash in ...
Re: Accents
G'day Stu , Perhaps like you I'm interested in different accents .. Fascinating subject . One of the main reasons of them is due to until quite recent times wide scale travel was very difficult so people living in close proximity only spoke to nearby folk and rarely anybody from afar. so local accen...

Re: Can we have an Activism board?
It's sad but true that societal views usually take a lot of changing or evolving.About the only time it doesn't is when a dictator orders change and people comply out of fear. Even so some brave souls will fight back . The wearing of non conforming clothing for men is probably not a cause that quite...

Re: Another reason I dislike denim!
Doing a Google search, denim kilts are available from several sources. I've seen them on Amazon, as well as other companies who make kilts. Prices range from $50.00 up to $150.00 USD. Uncle Al  :santa:  Merry Christmas to you Uncle Al and all Skirtcafe'ers ..Unusually cold here in...

Re: Escaping the man box - action needed
G'day all ...Great topic ..have enjoyed reading some great comments ... CONFORMITY and EXPECTATION is Man Box in a nutshell .. Nothing more .. Us blokes no matter what age are expected to be born and be chucked into the man box and come out later with certain expectations on what we need to conform ...
