Re: Hi everyone

Any UK peeps recommend any good stores for skirts? I’ve mostly been checking M&S, very, H&M, NEXT. But like atm it’s still more formal/AW casual stuff. Any ideas when more summery stuff will be around? I would’ve thought by now, but maybe Covid delayed it all. Hi Pete - thanks for the great updates...

Re: From Men's Health Magazine

That's a brilliant article, this kind of guy is my inspiration. And some of his outfits are exactly what I'm looking for!

Re: Turn up skirted for the first time

Having resolved not to wear trousers to work again this year (not that I’ll be in the office that often) there are a couple of people I’m slightly nervous about meeting not because I think they’ll react negatively but it’ll still be a big thing for me. But I’m going to do it anyway because having d...

Re: Man wears skirt to work and ‘can finally be himself’

At the end of the day, it's just clothes, nothing more, nothing less. Just because we choose to wear clothing from the women's side of the store, it really shouldn't be any big deal. Sometimes, we make more of this stuff than we actually should. I’m going to respectfully disagree with you on this. ...

Men’s non-conforming fashion choices

This article is a couple of years old, but it didn’t appear to have been posted here. I found it fascinating and frustrating in equal measure and ended up feeling very bullish about not accepting this and emboldened to ‘just do my thing’. There’s no mention if skirts specifically in the article, but...

Re: Say WHAT??????????

What got me, was the question and how she asked it. It wasn’t “Why? Are you embarrassed?” It was “ Why are you embarrassed”, with the inflection of don’t be embarrassed. Perhaps I am just surprised she would say it that way. Maybe a little more acceptance on the skirted in public topic. It could be...

Man wears skirt to work and ‘can finally be himself’

All power to this chap, a really positive article. https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/tesco-worker-happier-can-finally-23604258 I wish I was brave enough to do this, but I have an aversion to being the centre of attention and would really struggle with knowing I was being stared at all the time. ...

Re: Girl talking about men’s skirts on YouTube

It is difficult for me to take a society seriously that gets hung up on what color belongs with what gender... I mean honestly, take a step back and think about it... isn't that just the most ridiculous thing you've ever heard? Again with the labels, this is why I just don't care... the human speci...

Re: Sexual Fetish or Gender Expression?

Will that happen any time soon? I doubt it, to be honest. We have made some progress over the past 20-years and there have been flashes of hope, yet the taboo persists. Men wear trousers, not skirts - that's the norm and we shouldn't imagine that's about to change or we will be disappointed. Sigh. ...

Re: Sexual Fetish or Gender Expression?

I really appreciate your candor and self-awareness. I believe a man's desire to wear skirts comes from his so-called feminine side begging for its literal time in the Sun, whether it's a kilt on a man without a drop of Irish or Scottish blood or a full-on crossdresser. If you take the time to read ...

Sexual Fetish or Gender Expression?

I’ve been lurking here a while, but not contributed much. It’s been an education for me to say the least, and helped to clear some of the fog of understanding for me. In fact, I would go as far as to say I’ve had a lightbulb moment.... By way of context, I’m a straight married guy with teenage child...

Re: Dress

I completely empathise with the comments made in this post, although I think there is a major generational shift taking place right now. I speak as a child of the 70s, who went to an all-boys school in the 80s. Being different was limited to having your school tie tied a slightly non-standard length...
