Re: A Contrarian View of Miss-identification

This reminded me of an instant back in my youth. Long hair was very much the thing and as a student I took it as licence to grow my luxuriant licks ( sigh!). While reversing my car out of a space, I heard a male voice guiding me “keep going love. You’ve got loads of space”. I looked round to be gree...

Re: Corona Virus

Thank god most of the politicians here in the UK seem to be presenting a united front, with one or two exceptions ( Stephen Barclay). How long it will last for I don’t know. My sympathy goes out to you in the US when I see tv footage of the vacant expression and rambling rhetoric of your president. ...

Well, I dunno about the rest of you guys, but I haven't taken to wearing a stocking over my head!
I agree that it would look strange with only one leg covered😂

Re: Hair on legs

I wish someone had warned me to shave my legs when I sprained my ankle and the physio strapped it with adhesive bandage.
When he yanked it off some days later the resulting tearing noise was quite impressive. He had the cheek to comment “Ooh! I felt that!”
My reply “So did I!”

Re: Gas prices...

The top 0.001% aren't even going to notice until it starts getting violent. And desperation frequently triggers violence. I'm not so sure, I think the elite will eventually prop this thing back up (hence my comment on putting all this behind us in twelve months) because the elite know they need us ...

Re: Gas prices...

As around 70% of the sale price is tax in one form or another, the government is going to be in real trouble with the massive fall in demand due to the current zombie apocalypse. It’s interesting that most Western governments are suddenly able to magic up money to prop up the economy Maybe at last t...

Re: Little advise please

Having purchased a couple of inexpensive utility kilts recently from EBay with entirely satisfactory results, I would recommend looking there. There are plenty of sellers with UK stock in a variety of styles both utility and traditional. One thing to note, follow the advice of the sellers as the wai...

Re: Mr. Steed, if you please!

My father always told me not to be ashamed of my accent but to always ensure I used correct grammar. This is something I passed on in turn Nevertheless , living in the Deep South ( London) has changed my daughter’s accent as it did for my brother. I’m certain the latter accentuates this to irritate ...

Re: Corona Virus

I updated my virus scanner with the latest set. By accident I spilled some wodka over the keyboard but that is a blessing in disguise. I will not send any virusses myself over the Internet. I feel quite confident I will weather the storm, even with the official approach to the problem. All the time...

Re: Clothing envy - does it dissipate?

I generally wear bikini bottoms. They are so awesome, they fit as well as speedos and come in a bigger range of colours and patterns. I wear them with MOH's approval and to the swimming pool at the gym we go to. None of the other women in her aquafit class know what they are or frankly care. I caus...

Re: What will you wear on St. Patrick's Day?

At Christmas our store had their annual party in a hotel near the centre of York and I ordered my first drink of a pint of the black stuff. There was a tap with the "Ice cold Guiness" so was expecting a draught only to be disappointed when the barman reached into the chiller for a can. I stopped hi...

Be yourself! Wear a kilt, or a skirt of modest length. Those who know you would think it strange if you didn’t

I too fall into the late 60’s category. I’ve not been a member long but feel comfortable at the cafe. Don’t get along with the antisocial media as it’s too unregulated and open to abuse Under the watchful eye of “THE MODERATOR” we’re kept in order, sometimes. When I see some of the posts that my wif...

Re: Spitting Image to return

I dread to think how todays politically correct snowflake dominated TV organisations will neuter and destroy any vestige of humour. I fear it isn't going to be pretty, funny or worth watching. Just look what has happened to Dr Who (R.I.P.) Luckily with today’s politicians mere reporting some of the...

:ugeek: Alastair, Curiously, the Republic of Ireland is full of conservative royalists and Will & Kate came over for a bit of low-key fun with ordinary people (for a change!) Tom That’s fine as long as they’re not footing the bill! Don’t want to get too political but the mention of royalty and so ca...
