Re: Mississipi School Discriminate Transgender Girl

Mouse, you are closer to this than me but UK schools are taking a harsher line? The press talked about banning things as the press is apt to do. However the way I read it, it is a calibrated plan to teach children the various facts of life when they are old enough to take the information in. Obviou...

Re: Pride

When I was at school in the late 60s and 70s, anything a boy did that was remotely girl like was immediately met with a range of homophobic insults. As a boy who was quite interested in girl things, one had to keep those thoughts deeply deeply secret. At home the religious angle was at play, so Larr...

Re: Greatest Influence On Children

For all the hopefulness of the 1960s/70s era, there was a distinct sub-current that was dark indeed and very troubling, and that's what eventually collapsed the known world in the 1980s. Having some knowledge of navigating tough waters, I'm pretty good at picking stuff like this up, and in this cas...

Re: Doing away with "Embracing feminity"

I always feel at peace with myself and calm and relaxed when I embrace my feminine side. I think all guys should be in touch with their feminine side and dress up more often and what a better world it would be for it. I completely agree and have incorporate my feminine presentation into my everyday...

Re: Mississipi School Discriminate Transgender Girl

Discrimination is very well still alive in American schools. Transgender girl is being told she has to wear boy clothes. https://abcnews.go.com/US/wireStory/transgender-girl-faces-discrimination-mississippi-schools-dress-code-110323298 The most telling bit of the piece is this The district rule tha...

Re: It's Time

I set many systems up for my clients and often there is a setting for how the time is displayed. I always set this to the 24hr setting since in my book, a digital clock should always show 24 hours.

Re: It's Time

Given that we have clocks with Roman numerals and some with no numbers at all, I can't see anybody having a problem with telling the time.

Re: High School Prank

Question here is would they accept man in kilt playing bagpipes as their husband? Here in the UK, it is not un common for a group of chaps to all dress up in kilts for a wedding, stag do, party etc. It is seen as a great laugh. Their women folk will all be making the standard Scottish jokes and no ...

Re: High School Prank

Students hired a person to play bagpipes in a kilt. This represent there is some openness in accepting men in skirt from new generation. https://abcnews.go.com/US/video/illinois-high-school-students-hire-bagpiper-follow-principal-110243644 I think the tartan kilt on a Scotsman is a known thing the ...

Re: Pride

Come to think of it africa, the middle east, and certain parts of southeast asia, these cultures have mens skirts as normal attire, and homosexuality/genderbender or whatever is not even remotely considered okay. Well I am not brave enough to try them out in a skirt. But don't let my lack of courag...

I don't know enough about the cultures to presume, however I would be really careful as it is one thing to be thought of as gay here in the UK, and quite another in some countries.

Re: Pride

I wouldn't go near one, that's the last kind of association men in skirt needs. I think the pride movement has allowed the space for a whole range of minorities to live in a civilised world. Please note, around the world, places where the pride movement is not accepted are probably also tough place...

Re: Where will we be in say... ten years?

I think in 10 years time, the vast majority of people, both male and female will still be in a range of ordinary boring easy to wear clothes. You see this in what the average woman wears now compared with a few years ago. There will still be the stand out people both male and female who you notice i...
