Re: Mouse at the Victoria & Albert Museum.
A "New Name" - Skirt Cafe's own 'Roving Reporter', Mouse :D A follow up visit to the V. & A. Museum, documenting your experiences would be quite fascinating to read AND your photographs help guide one's minds eye :D Looking forward to more 'Adventures with Mouse' :D Thanks, Uncle Al. ...

Re: Mouse at the Victoria & Albert Museum.
I visited it skirted last year (with black versions of the same ballet flats Mouse has on there). Not as adventurous as Mouse when it comes to colours though - I was purely in black. Thanks Camperguy. I have so liked the blue ballet flats that I am following your lead and have just ordered the same...

Re: Primark tights the good and the bad
I think the tights from supermarkets and places like Primark are bit of a lottery. About a year ago, black tights. from Tesco were fine at the 15d mark, the 40d and 60d, but the 30d were awful with the crotch falling apart on the first wearing of every pair. I think the only way is what you are doin...

Re: Mouse at the Victoria & Albert Museum.
Excellent pictures, Mouse. :) How did you take the pictures Mouse? I can spot the Bluetooth remote shutter release in some of the pictures but in some of the pictures, I'm not convinced that you propped your smartphone on the floor or against an object? Take the picture above for example? Thank you...

Mouse at the Victoria & Albert Museum.
So Barleymower and I decided to meet for a quiet after work chat in a London pub. My plan was to tack this on to a working day in London. However, the plans of mice and men do not always pan out and days before, I agreed with my client for various reasons that it would be better to do the work on hi...

Re: My public journey #3 - Pushing the boundaries
.....So, I will say, I am really enjoying my skirting experiences, and enjoying experiencing them in more places. It goes to show that those initial fears we have are pretty much unfounded. Behave normally, behave with confidence and I also think, put together an outfit that looks good on you, and ...

Re: shapr dressed men trigger insecure men
In a similar vein, the Gentlesman Gazette channel has similar good advice for us men to dress well https://www.youtube.com/@gentlemansgazette This one about gendered clothing was particularly interesting. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=69bD2bUOl0E Agin the message is to make the best of yourself an...

Re: shapr dressed men trigger insecure men
I thought this youtube video on the subject interesting, not directly about us even though I know this guy did an episode on mens skirts awhile ago. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LxErd0A22D8 His channel is quite interesting and I have dipped into it on occasions. He has done two videos which appl...

Re: Two weeks....
Nice looks, all. The 13th, 14th and 15th are not far off from what I typically wear. Me too, since they are all the same work skirt in blue, beige and black, in which I work on client's sites. I appreciate your more adventurous outfits, as well, life's too short not to have fun! Thank you, I have s...

Re: Girls being banned from wearing skirts at school
When I was at school the girls were very inventive to shorten their skirts and inject their own style into things. Rolling up the waist band was the quick way to do it.

Re: Any pattern suggestions?
I have just posted about a man in a skirt who has a sewing channel where remake various patterns up for himself and models the finished result. https://www.skirtcafe.org/forums/viewtopic.php?t=25941 I am using a McCall's 7022 pattern, which I think is too flowy for what you want, but this channel ma...

Man in Skirt sewing channel
I was searching YouTube for help with a McCall's 7022 sewing pattern when I was given this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SDu-CCzvonk video presented by Babbra Young. The video was a bit chatty, but quite useful and to my amazement, the finished skirt was modelled by a man in a skirt, Babbra Young....
