Re: Does any walk of life still make women wear skirts?

I live in a rural area and see a lot of "christian" families where the wife and daughters are always clad in skirts and dresses. Not Amish or Mennonite, just average families who spend a lot of time in church and related activities. Pentecostal, maybe? Jehovah Witness If they are wearing ...

Re: Skirts in foreign lands

I had never seen men wearing female swimming costumes out in public at a pool or beach (but I have tried my wife’s costumes on just to see how they feel and fit) until last year in France we had two men who appeared to be in a relationship wearing one piece costumes at the pool. For a UK Centre Par...

Re: Hello all

.... You’ve clearly got this sorted and enjoy getting out and about. I am on a 9 year and counting, journey of wearing skirts in public as a man. Before that it was all dressing in secret for over 40 years. I think I have the public side sorted, but the family side is still a work in progress. I do...

Now your username has gone blue, you should be able to see the "Pics and Looks" area. If you can not, you may need to log out and back in.

You will see the difference between Mouse at play and Mouse at work.

Re: Hello all

I’m keen wear tights more in public and I think I saw you are doing just that. I wear skirts every day in my working life and leisure. I never liked socks so I am always in tights or stockings of various thicknesses depending on the weather. Today I am in London with 60d black tights on under a Rom...

Re: Does any walk of life still make women wear skirts?

I checked on the Horse Racing in the Ascot Royal Enclosure dress code and trousers are kind of OK A trouser suit of matching material and colour A jumpsuit that falls below the knee and complies with the shoulder strap requirements So from that, I imagine a woman can wear trousers as she pleases in ...

Re: Hello all

Hi SatinDea Well done for making the first step in the cafe and registering a username. We are a varied bunch of men who wear a varied set of clothes. Some of us stick firmly to male skirted garments such as the kilt, while other of us take anything from the pink side of the shop that takes our fanc...

Re: Baseball / Van Cleef & Arpels

I am sorry I know nothing about Baseball or what either side earring means. I dislike unbalances looks, so am not a fan of single earrings for men, but I desperately wanted to wear dangly earrings. I then discovered several men sporting gauges (large hole earrings) in both ears, so that gave me a wa...

Re: "Can I be a Christian and a cross-dresser?"

"cross-dresser" is not my favourite term for what I wear and do, but it is a reasonable short hand that others have used in describing me in medical reports of the state of my brain and mental capacity. In some of my outfits, everything I am wearing, except the hat and septum piercing, is...

Re: "Can I be a Christian and a cross-dresser?"

Not "a real kilt"? Seriously? Who defines what's "a real kilt"? I had a discussion on a Sunday morning as to what I was wearing to church. My Brother used all manner of arguments that I should not go in a black kilt, including all the standard bible passages and the fact that it...

Re: Thoughts concerning silhouettes

Come to think of it, what I have worn has conformed with angular, square/retangular/trapezoidal. Didn't plan it that way, I just picked out designs that I thought would look believable on me. I read the link and then became quite lost, since I just go with what I think I look good in, not knowing a...

Re: Men who are interested in normalising skirts in menswear need to learn to sew

Maybe we could get the thread back to real skirts that cafe members wear. I and a few other cafe members have become quite attached to the standard Roman denim skirt, which is inexpensive, available in a few colours and hard wearing. I have 2 which I use for work. May be Robert could take a look at ...

Re: "Can I be a Christian and a cross-dresser?"

My parent’s and brothers’s church could do with the same understanding of the biblical texts. My brother gave me grief over a black kilt, since it wasn’t “a real kilt”.

It is good that some churches are bringing more understanding to the bible passages.
