Re: Introducing myself

Hi and welcome, I am also in the SW of England, North Devon and have been in ksirts and kilts for more than 10 years. People in general around here seem to be fairly accepting of a man in a kilt or skirt or at least are polite enough not to make you feel uncomfortable, though what they might be sayi...

Re: womens views on mens skirts/kilts

Hi, As yet another South West UK skirt and kilt wearer I can offer further reassurance that for most of the time, you get little or no reaction from the general public. The most important people to get on your side are those closest to you and as long as you have their support you can wear basically...

Skirts on TV in UK today

Hi, ITV's morning news program had a follow on item to yesterday's item about the school boy's protest of wearing a skirt to school. Here is the link: http://www.itv.com/daybreak/presenters/daybreak-boys-get-girly/ This item featured 3 men in skirts and although a bit tongue in cheek has some positi...

Re: newbie

Hi, You have described exactly how I felt the first time I wore a skirt instead of shorts. It is a complete feel of freedom of movement without restrictive clothing. It is the most logical and natural way to dress and I really cannot understand why men abandoned this way of dressing in favour of tro...

Re: Kilt Suggestions Please

Hi, There are two sites that I would recommend, one in the U.S. and one in the U.K. The U.S. site is probably the biggest seller of kilt like garments in the States and is Utilikilts in Seattle. The English one is Midas Clothing in Manchester who have been making skirts for men for more than 4 years...

Re: Androgynous "garçons"... what else is new?

I really can't see what all the fuss is about. Here are some pictures of some fairly avant garde fashions that cannot be considered offensive in any way. Admittedly they may not be to everyone's taste and I am sure that the majority of us would not want to wear any of the looks as a complete outfit....

Another open minded article

Hi all, Here is another reasonably open minded article about men's fashion and skirts from the perspective of London Fashion Week. Unfortunately it is not illustrated and many of the reader's comments are not supportive. However the author seems to like skirts. http://www.fashionbeans.com/mens-style...

Having looked at all of the photos on the link, I think that the simplicity of the shorter one on the post, makes it by far the best.
