The important thing is to keep going out and gaining confidence.
Also, photoshop is an important thing not to forget :P

It seems someone corrected my intentional bad quote, thus robbing it of the humor it provided.

Re: Friction

My friend was right about a skirt with a restricted stride. Walking was a pain having to take 50% more steps which means 50% more time. Next time I will listen to advice from women on skirt wearing. Agreed. I've only worn a restrictive skirt once or twice to work, and each time I regretted the choi...

Re: Hypothethical Question

I don't want my clothes, my interests, to define me - I do want my works (one could say art), words, actions to define me. We humans define other humans in many ways depending on what we ourselves are interested in. So if I am a fashion nut, I may have a set of boxes in my mind where I file people ...

Re: Hypothethical Question

This goes with the constant thought - a label. A box to put unusual(weird ?) men in. Society still thinks in terms of "A Label". WHY, WHY , WHY :?: If YOU have a solution to this "problem", you might win a Nobel Prize :!: I don't see it as a negative or positive - just a definit...

Re: Hypothethical Question

Can't you have your cake and eat it too? In today's society - wearing a skirt as a man is gender non-conforming. But it's just a definition - not an identity, flag, etc... it can be just a descriptor. Eventually one would hope it would go away as men adopt skirts and more colorful styles - but you c...

I have a lot of yardage (amount unknown) of blue velour with an embossed design - probably from the 60’s or 70’s. I’m sure it would fit right in with the depicted era.

Re: Sir Garyson Perry is "just a man who likes to wear dresses"

I hope that GNC becomes more widely used to describe us. Some here would disagree with this sentiment - some would like skirt wearing to be normalized as mens clothing, such that they are conforming to their gender in wearing one. I'm a bit ambivalent about it myself - I'll accept that it can be us...

Re: Out and About -- In the World at Large

My wife & I vacationed in Branson Missouri a week or so ago. I don't wear skirts out at home, but like to when out of town. One of the days my wife wanted to go shopping, so I wore a skirt. We started out at The Landing, which is a large open air shopping mall. She was looking for shoes, so we ...

Re: Skirt from a tablecloth?

I have access to a 24” x 24” laser cutter, as well as a 24”x48”…. Whether I’d be able to use it - that’s another issue A good sharp pair of scissors is more than capable of doing a perfectly decent job of this. We've been making clothes since way before LASER technology. Oh I do not disagree - and ...

Re: Skirt from a tablecloth?

Ha! Though I can be practical at times - for this I figured I'd make a simple paper pattern and use that to determine the radius to cut. I was just playfully bustin' you. There was precisely no ill intent intended. I, too, fall into Analysis Paralysis from time to time. I kinda figured, hence the &...
