Re: Corona Virus

Basically, where I work they require masks regardless of vaxx status due to delta, they feel it’s spreadable enough that vaxx/no vaxx, they need them in the classrooms and now everywhere. There’s also the immunocompromised/under 12 argument - people who cannot be vaccinated - to help reduce spread. ...

Re: Corona Virus

I will never fully understand the Ivermectin/HCQ craze. I got a bit excited over HCQ when the idea was first floated (although the scientific mechanisms of how it worked were not very clear, first red flag), but after subsequent trials showed it to be more or less unhelpful, I’ve been a bit more cau...

GQ: David Harbour Joins the Thom Browne Skirt Movement

https://www.gq.com/story/david-harbour-thom-browne-skirt-interview The article title is a bit misleading: Is the skirt now a staple for Harbour, along with his three shirts? “I’m not there yet. I’m still trying to figure out how to incorporate it. It’s a bold thing to do still!” But, he says, “for a...

DMARGE: Why Are The World’s Biggest Male Celebrities Suddenly Wearing Skirts?

https://www.dmarge.com/2021/09/why-are-men-wearing-skirts-celebrity-met-gala.html Some here will agree with some of the more "negative" sentiments expressed in this article: DMARGE spoke to Byron Bay-based men’s stylist and fashion expert Jeff Lack to help make sense of the trend. His take? While it...

Highsnobiety: Men's Skirts Were the Real MVP at NYFW

https://www.highsnobiety.com/p/russell- ... -mvp-nyfw/
Skirt's for men are here to stay. During New York Fashion Week, Russell Westbrook and a few other leading men made a strong argument for the emerging (but not so new) menswear staple.

Re: Lifestyle Asia: Who says dresses are just for women?

In addition, I recently saw Mark in yet another article along with a couple other fashion pioneers so men wearing skirts and dresses is at least acceptable. And while I have seen exactly the arc that Ralph has, this time it may be real. Not that skirt wearing will become a staple for all or even mo...

Re: Strange and unusual skirts

I am not sure if I would wear this in the bush. I think I might get chased by an emu. https://www.picclickimg.com/d/l400/pict/224582614719_/Sretsis.jpg https://picclick.com.au/Sretsis-224582614719.html The seller writes: Have only worn this 3 times and it’s in excellent condition. It’s been too sma...

Re: Skirt/dress-wearing vs. Masculinity

Excellent reply moon, and sorry to hear about your father. I think the way you framed “toxic masculinity” is the same way I feel about it, but growing up under the shadow of man bad/woman good - masculinity bad - it’s going to take a while for me to believe that without having to *think* about it.

Re: Corona Virus

I just received word today that one of my aunts from my father's side has been diagnosed with covid. She has not been vaccinated. When I asked why not (even my father has been) I was told that her preacher has convinced his congregation that the vaccine is literally the mark of the beast. A bunch o...

Mu variant Had we done better with vaccinations and restrictions on international travel this might not have happened. But, thanks to the number of "hesitant" and the amount of mis- and outright dis-information available we failed. Mu did not come from the US - it originated from a different countr...

Re: New Skirtcraft Wrap Skirt Design

I have two wrap skirts that tie like this one, I end up tying a bow knot… but then I have this obnoxiously large bow on my side :P so I tuck the bow into the waistband, which causes the waistband to be a bit wonky. I’ll try a square knot to see how it works. The one thing I’m not a fan of are dangli...

Re: Lifestyle Asia: Who says dresses are just for women?

Indeed. I simply didn't like the design because of its simplistic nature and gaudy colour-scheme. I also like to have a belt/sash at the waist to provide some definition, although for some guys that could be problematic. I just don't like it, when I see it all I can think of is "Zippy the Pinhead":...
