Re: Trump was shot!
I would say that the two parties had for a long time stayed rather close in policy, and slowly drifted left. Thus the apparent "center" has slowly shifted left, and what was a left-wing position 25 years ago, is now a right-wing position. Trump's "far right" positions today were...

Re: Overly Flamboyant Outfits Detrimental to Mainstreaming MIS?
I'll just say, maybe all these "gender conversations" are being too frequent lately. I feel it's at the root of most of the conflicts that happened in the past year, and seem to appear on almost every topic. There's massive worldwide variation here too. My brother was over last week and w...

Re: Becoming too obsessed
In crossdressing circles this is known as Pink Fog. Once you've broken free of the box your mind starts going wild with possibilities and to others it can seem like obsession.
It will pass eventually. It's just a new phase of your life.

Re: Windows 11 and a new "experience" called Recall
This features scares the bejesus out of any business using PCs for confidential work, so there will absolutely be a way to turn it off. Or MS will kill their most lucrative market.

Re: Making the effort....inspiration for us.
You made me think that here in Belgium, I don't know of any school where uniform is required. I wondered whether it could be the same in other european countries, thus googled it: https://snipboard.io/J8Kq4a.jpg I know here in the Netherlands schools they don't have uniforms (well, maybe private on...

Re: Women wearing skirts
I work in IT and our company is full of quite technical people (aka nerds). Some women dress up, but I know there's also a few who love this place because finally no-one will judge them for just wearing whatever was on top of the pile today. That's what most of the guys are doing. Whatever is on the...

Re: Sightings "in the wild"
I just watched a man make the case against pronouns along similar grounds. His argument is that They and Them are plural terms that have nothing to do with the gender of the induvial involved. Using They/Them to refer to a single induvial would be grammatically incorrect and he refuses to use the E...

Re: Men have "more individualism" but dress up to conform more?
For me, women support each other, even if unknown. Men on the whole compete and on the whole do not form a supportive network. Interestingly, I have heard from multiple women that women-only groups can become terrible places, with backstabbing, subtle put-downs, grudges and just plain old nastiness...

My my, what a lot of black. Certainly the second options of each where better, but it would have been nice if it was something other than black and white.

Re: Mississipi School Discriminate Transgender Girl
But our UK parent company wants to record it for statistics (some legally mandated). Leads to endless discussions. Is there not a "Prefer Not To Say" option RK? There is, but apparently people have had issues with HR filling in the field for them "because it helps the statistics"...

Re: Mississipi School Discriminate Transgender Girl
remember years ago, the word gender was not used on employment applications. The word sex which was correct was always used back then The real question is: why do you need to state either gender or sex? Outside a few specialised jobs, it doesn't matter, so why is the question there at all? Here com...

Re: Don't Change
I don't particularly mind being alone, in fact, I need to be on a regular basis to stop going nuts. But on the other I'm very glad I have to get out and go to the office sometimes to meet people because I fear if I didn't I'd see no-one at all. On the whole, working at the office is less productive,...

Re: Mississipi School Discriminate Transgender Girl
That's akin to guaranteeing freedom from religion in a Constitution. It really can't be done gracefully. Umm, am I missing something, but freedom from religion is precisely what we should be aiming for? You can practice any religion you like, as like as it doesn't affect me. The result of all those...
