Re: Gender Neutral Fashion is failing skirt-wearing boys
The UK government recently rejected any claim that there is any category of person who is "non-binary" - and the High Court disallowed a challenge on that, so I have the government and courts on my side. There is not a shred of scientific or biological evidence to support the claim for su...

Book review: What about men? by Caitlin Moran
This is a book that came on my list after reading a Guardian article and it's previously been mentioned in for example this thread . It's been gathering dust on my to-read pile but I finally got around to it last week. And... it's very good, way better than I expected. It's basically describing her ...

Re: Gender Neutral Fashion is failing skirt-wearing boys
There are a lot of great points in this discussion, but one I would like to focus on in particular. That being that it would be okay to allow younger boys to wear girls' clothing, but at a certain point in time, they would need to be weaned off the more girly/frilly aspects of the clothing and dire...

Re: Gender Neutral Fashion is failing skirt-wearing boys
If a girl crops her hair and wears male clothing, she will be assumed to be making some kind of statement - likely that she is a lesbian Have I fallen through a time machine? This reminds of when I went with long hair in the 80s/90s and people calling it "girly". I wasn't making a stateme...

Re: Sebs sweatshop
Blast it :!: It's easier to show how its done than describe the procedures. But, I'm not in a position to 'film' that. Anyway, I hope you understand my 'description' of procedures :D No, it was pretty clear. By "'waist band strengthening material" I assume you mean fusable interfacing. Or...

Re: Article in The Guardian by a man who wears skirts
I was not aware of that - interesting. I'd always assumed that it was a fairly widespread practice throughout the western world and other places where Christianity was the dominant religion. I was really surprised when I moved to the US and found that many women chose not to take their hubsters nam...

Re: Article in The Guardian by a man who wears skirts
I actually like the practice often seen here in New England where women keep their maiden name after marriage. Interesting you say that. I think that in Western Europe the UK is the only country where it is common for wives to take the name of their husband. Here in NL women always retain their mai...

That's actually really good. I have some attempts, but they don't look nearly at nice as your top picture here.

There must be a browser specific component to this, because if I type something, leave it for a day and hit submit, I get a warning about the session being invalid and to try again. And the text is still there.
Which I guess is a roundabout way of saying Works for me(tm). This is Firefox on Linux.

Re: Single Sex Spaces
I appreciate there is a naturist view where mixed nakedness is the norm and unremarkable, but most of us aren't naturists and do not wish to be. Well that escalated quickly. How can you possibly compare a changing room where you can take off your underwear and put on your swimmers in under 30 secon...

Re: Single Sex Spaces
The attitude towards this does seem to vary across countries and cultures. A male former colleague told me of him being in the Netherlands some years ago and, having been swimming in a Center Parcs resort, he had taken a shower in the male changing area and had barely finishing dressing when a grou...

Re: Does the dog die
1) Comedy will always bet at someone’s expense I find this is mostly true of American comedy. I find British comedy much better in that regard. Take for example the IT Crowd, or Hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy. Or Monty Python. They're quite funny, and IMO not at anyone's expense. American comedy ...

Re: Dr Who
Your friend is not wrong about the wokiness of Dr Who , although I have no beef with the Dr being black. A black women or a transgender teenager. He can be whatever they choose. But I watched the Christmas Special and at one point it turned into a musical! What the Hell??? Just watched Doctor Who U...

Re: Christian Bretheren lumping us in with the crossdressers again.
That’s the part I’ve been struggling with - because I do think in 100 years it will be more common, and what’s so wrong with being a trendsetter? Does that mean true christians are to avoid trends, and blend into society? What does that say of people who buck those trends, are they heathens to be d...
