I totally agree with Since1982, I think if more and more people start to publicly wear a skirt type of clothing it will be more of a normal thing to see. just like earrings,tattoos,and nail polish.

crfriend, I know there are more things than just that. she has a very low self image problem. Is it really wrong to wear tights/hose with a kilt?? last winter i wore my kilt with black tights and really didnt have any problems...

The Idea of kilts as a normal thing to see in the US is if some of the retailers would start carrying a selection of them. maybe it will catch on...then it might progress into regular skirt wearings. never know...

I like the feel of nothing touching my legs when i walk. kinda not wearing anything at all. but when it does touch it reminds me that i'm wearing a skirt. the ones i like are the denim ones that are about knee length.

I wish they would bring that subject to the fore front a little more often.... not necessarily making them get rid of it but making it more acceptable in society. but i guess its all about the ratings and the promoters.

My question was basically asking not necessarily making one but the difference between the two. a skirt is basically shorts without the legs. so why do people have so much problem with it.
if i take a pair of shorts and make a skirt out of it and wear it out, would the reactions be the same???

Whats the difference if you went out and bought a denim/jean type skirt from say the Goodwill/second hand store or taking a pair of jean shorts and make them into a skirt???
