Re: New to the forum - Help needed

My opinion is men did it before, they can and should do it again. If we think negatively then we will fulfill our own prophecy. We need to all make it happen. There are tonnes of men out there who would jump at the chance if it was fashionable. The more it's done, the more chance it has to become n...

Re: The Importance of Punctuation

I tend to laugh at the grammar Nazis. You knew what I meant, & minor errors in punctuation do not change the content. Not everyone agrees, particularly in the legal world. Have to laugh at the Ten-Million-Dollar comma. https://johnsonwebbert.com/news/a-few-words-about-the-ten-million-dollar-seri...

Re: Article on the phenomenon of "men wearing skirts on the red carpet this year"

Good exposure, and certainly helps our "cause" to see mainstream guys nicely dressed for a formal event, including skirts and dresses. My only complaint is the number of pictures that show "waist-up". Defeats the purpose. Even the cover shot for the WP article made this mistake. ...

Re: Corona Virus

The mask reduces the chance of an infected wearer spreading the virus to others, it does not protect the wearer against catching the virus. Actually, masks DO protect the wearer against catching the virus. Empirical observations from 100+ years ago during the H1N1 "Spanish Flu" pandemic o...

Re: Hiking Skirts - Who Wears What?

Personal fave is the Mountain Hardwear Elkommando kilt, discontinued 12 years ago. They come up on ebay occasionally, usually in smaller sizes. Wear mine several times a week for hiking, weather permitting. Eventually it will wear out, so always on the lookout for alternatives. List posted below. Th...

Re: Finding an El Kommando Kilt

Coder, Great idea. Did it yesterday. Apparently Mtn Hardwear does not like emails. Customer service via online chat. Shared the details, the rep promised to relay info to marketing department. The Elkommando was and is a great idea, just a little ahead of its time. D'C'd in 2010. A decade later, 202...

Re: Finding an El Kommando Kilt

Always keeping a lookout for another one as backup. Really like the look and feel. Excited to see this one posted on eBay. Lost interest when it went over $120. Laughed when it went over $200. Jaw dropped when it sold for $256.

Re: 5.11 Tactical Kilts..

*Many thanks* for the reminder. Definitely going to order ASAP. Long story short, found a 5.11 on ebay a couple years ago. Perfect condition, priced right, etc. Great material & great look. But, the actual waist size was about 2-3" larger than marked. Too loose even for my heaviest winter w...

Re: Finding an El Kommando Kilt

Discontinued 2010, unfortunately. Found one on ebay, but it was wishlisted forever before it happened. *If* you can get one, they're amazing. Mine's worn 3-4 times a week for hiking or morning walks. Recently looking for something comparable as a backup. My notes, and the links. UT Kilts - "The...
