I think its still a skort - that is a short under the hem - its just a short pair of shorts.
The whole point is its supposed to be a bit cheeky - kinda tones back a pair of short shorts somewhat.

Re: Another type of skirted clothing
A chemise would be perfect in that case.Myopic Bookworm wrote: ↑Sat Jun 18, 2022 10:13 pmI do have a long nightshirt which my wife gave me, but she gets cold and has warm bedding, so usually I am struggling to stay cool and do not wear nightwear that covers my upper half.
Re: Heels
Thanks for the candid answer NZF. No problem Stevie, I try and deal with everything in an honest way. I've had one injury from wearing heels - and it meant a year in flats - or very low heels - so I am focused on looking after myself because I really do enjoy shoes -they make an outfit. Other than ...
Re: Heels
You say that you prefer a heel, can you walk in your bare feet comfortably? My feet are fairly small so in a 4inch heel which is typical for me (I don't go higher unless its something fancy) - I find them fine all day. I can stand flat footed - but it is tight in my legs - I also run a lot so my te...
Re: Heels
well I've been in heels pretty much daily for a decade now. No issues here... touch wood....
no issues I can feel - other than I do prefer a bit of a heel at least, rather than flat.

Re: Another type of skirted clothing
I thought a Bolero was a rather impressive piece of classical music, is that like a cape type of thing? I think it has musical connotation as well being a clothing style. Boleros are cropped tops - often very short in length - so they work well with a typical dress/strappy top. They do and don't fa...

Re: Shorts under skirts and dresses
Yes SkirtsDad, I have both types - fully skirted and front skirted. The slazenger court skort you linked to is very akin to my asics skirts - which asics call a skirt but really are a skort. here's are wicked mini skort by a brand I follow 'Pushbutton'...very flattering and very figure defining. The...

Re: Shorts under skirts and dresses
Hi Grok
my skorts (I have a few tailored skorts) - they have a skirt front but the rear is like a pair of shorter shorts and there is no skirt bit on the back.
In that sense the tennis/sports skirts I mentioned, by comparison have a full skirt around them - so they are different.
cheers

Re: Another type of skirted clothing
I'm always in a chemise/slip by choice so they're strappy on my shoulders but I have different lengths - mostly above knee but I have longer, usually with a split. I pair them with a bolero - which covers my shoulders/arms if I am sitting in bed or up and about - but obviously the bolero is not for ...

Re: Shorts under skirts and dresses
When I wear a shorter hemline, be it a dress or a skirt, I would want my legs to go all the way.. so I would not want any glimpse of bike shorts/shorts etc... just my legs. I wear a lot of mini hemlines - but I don't wear large volume skirt at that shortness - so they're more fitted skirts - which a...
Re: Heels
Looks about right - but its not painful. You get used to the position, its more a flexibility thing and a physical endurance scenario of having your foot in that position, which with extensive wearing you get quite used to, and it becomes easy/comfortable over time.

Re: Incerun Dress
I'd suggest go to a good department store and look at the shirt dresses. There are typically a lot for a great price as well as some hefty tags. Here's a few quick options from David Jones. These stores would also be online (as is this one) https://www.davidjones.com/productimages/medium/2/2380248_2...

its similar to a pencil skirt and they're naturally a wee bit restrictive.
wear them with a pair of heels and it all makes sense.

Almost No Skirt Options!
Just thought I'd make a comment/ have a bit of a moan.... I've been shopping for another suit and there are heaps of suits but almost none with a skirt option anymore. Perhaps one or two skirt options out of 30-40 pant styles. There are shorts options - but not skirts.... I admit I do like high wais...
