Re: Another Newbie

Most welcome Gardevoir. I too have a supporting wife yet our taste is not to wear each others clothes, mostly because I'm a grubby work type and would only spoil her wardrobe :) It took me a while, years, to bite the bullet. A well fitting skirt is just so comfortable to wear; something men of the t...

Re: Gucci Dress for Men

The colour, orange, is a really difficult colour to wear successfully. It really is the wrong colour for this dress and by choosing it Gucci made it totally unsuitable and a bad example for people to see. Had it been a nice shade of blue.... Still the guy said that the fit was wrong and simply a wo...

Re: Working in a skirt

Welders do not wear overalls these days because they take too long to remove when they catch fire. I don't wear overalls now because they are hard to remove even if they are not on fire. I do weld when wearing a mini skirt but only when I am working above waist height and usually there is little sp...

Re: Working in a skirt

No pictures, sorry.
I work pretty much exclusively in a skirt but draw the line at welding! Sparks play havoc with the skin on my legs so I resort to overalls, skirted beneath of course. :)

Re: Sightings "in the wild"

I have been wearing skirts and kilts all summer and have been fortunate enough to receive many compliments, although almost exclusively from women folk. Tonight was a first when a man complimented me on my attire and he ventured to ask why I was wearing a kilt. I replied that it was far more comfort...

Re: Questions about english language

Well, it IS the off-topic section... ;-)

Then may I politely ask for the topic to be changed from Questions About The English Language to 'arguments about USA politics', upon which I have no great interest?

Re: Questions about english language

Hey?
What has all this vitriol got to do with the price of fish?
I enter the cafe to talk about freedom to wear what I wish and not to listen to USA politics.
Gentlemen, please, may I ask that you consider what you are posting.

Re: Questions about english language

Peoples from the islands of Britain, the North, Scotland. The West, Ireland and Wales and the South West, Devon and Cornwall often regard themselves as 'Celts' and of a seperate origin from those of 'middle England'. Myself included. I understand that a similar feeling exists in France, Spain and Po...

Spirou003,
It's a bit like swimming. One can get changed and hover at the poolside, dip a toe in the water and shiver thinking it's too cold. Just dive in and enjoy it the coldness soon goes away.

Re: Where will we be in say... ten years?

Dare I say that wearing trousers, 'pants', have become uncomfortable, especially now that I've been exclusively wearing a skirt for the last five months! No one bats an eyelid and I have particularity enjoyed positive conformation from ladies I meet. Where will we be in ten years? I'd say mainstream.

Re: Questions about english language

Hi Spirou003,
Personally I am a stickler for grammar. Nevertheless your written words are totally understandable. Might I encourage you not to fret over detail and that you continue practicing the master of my 'mother tongue' ?
I wholeley respect your effort.'

Re: How far we've come

You have been an inspiration for me moonshadow and thank you for your input.
When I first walked off the street into this Cafe I believed that I was the only man in the world who was comfortable wearing a skirt, how wrong was I! Today I'm confident and happy to wear whatever feels good.

Reference to skorts,
I have a number of these and wear them all the time. Very practical for work they are too.

Re: Hello, everyone!

Hello BlueCheese.
I too live in the south west UK and enjoy wearing a skirt everyday. Practical limitations aside it's refreshing not to have trousers crushing the lower area. Welcome to the Cafe.
