Re: Water!

Bearing in mind what Australia has been through in the last 6 months or so, I can understand your enthusiasm at seeing 'real live water'. Unfortunately, here in the wet of England (and that's not a typo), we're getting a little fed up with it. I share your lack of enthusiasm trainspotter48 I too li...

Re: Dirty Work in a Skirt

Really do I like working in a skirt. But a whole lot of my work involves getting really greasy and dirty, for the most practical reasons, keeping my legs clean, Overalls are still the only answer. Am sorry to say that practicality sometimes wins over preference. When lying under to fix a dirty machi...

Re: Hola from Ticolandia

Faldaguy, MOH knows that I have been out often on my own in a skirt ( when she is not around to have a cautionary effect ) and that I have not made a secret among those around me that I wear a skirt. She tolerates them but I often get snide remarks about them as well. So to follow your line of thin...

Her opinion isn't worth the time it takes to read it.

My my, what a pleasant introduction and so well expressed that it's a pleasure to read.
Your experience is so similar to my own Ticolandia that it could almost be written about me; location and time apart. Welcome aboard.

Re: Why we wear skirts and how does it feel?

Why do I wear a Skirt? Seems to be the obvious and comfortable garment to wear. Stylish and warm yet still allowing fresh air to circulate around the upper inside leg. Gentleman 'bits' evolved to be carried, cooler, outside of the human body. I like to believe that I am carrying on the good Lords ai...

These are comfy too, I've been wearing them for most of this summer. https://www.decathlon.co.uk/nh100-womens-burgundy-id_8492506.html Dont you just hate it when it says "women's"?? Re: So, kiltshopping?

That is tremendously helpful, thank you. The dimensions/measurement issue is definitely one that has been troubling me. Some places ask for four measurements, others just one. It seems an easy bet as to which supplier is likely to deliver something more or less as hoped for. How about Scottish Kilt...

Re: Would You Wear This?

I purchased a couple of these a short while ago... https://www.decathlon.co.uk/nh100-womens-burgundy-id_8492506.html Absolutely smashing, lightweight, comfortable and breezy. Can be worn without fear of unexpected exposure, the undershorts are the same colour as the skirt and can double as underpant...

Re: Hello, new to this forum

I wish I had your courage. Hi trdrl92, I'm new here too. Only two months ago I lacked the nerve to venture beyond my own property now I wear a skirt most of the time and it's been liberating. Most people don't notice or pay no heed, of the ones that do I've so far only received complements . Go for...

Re: Another reason I hate Tennessee

Properly cooked, heat treatment will kill parasites. Another possible reason for the prohibition of pig meat may have been that it is ,apparently, indistinguishable from human flesh in texture, taste and smell. To the first statement, I say "Bravo!" to the humans who discovered well-cooked pork. :D...

If an Engineer is just an Engineer; or a Magician; or a Wizard. What then might a Blacksmith be?

Re: Another reason I hate Tennessee

For example, the prohibition of eating pork, since men observed that eating pig meat led to unpleasant disease, never understanding it was due to the trichina worm, a parasite of both pigs and men, assigned the blame to a sign from an almighty deity. Well reasoned. May I add. Properly cooked, heat ...
