Re: Coffee at the Supermarket

Reading this post made me think. When shopping at the supermarket skirted, I usually shop reasonably quickly then soon go on my way. Recently, feeling brave, I made a point of going for a coffee in the Costa Coffee shop in the supermarket first before walking around the store to do my shoppi...

Re: Winter skirt

I alternate between this one and a similar black version. I went shopping last night with the denim skirt and tights, no heels just loafers. Wonderful. The black sounds nice. Four inches below the knee is my favourite - I hope yr wife has come round to it! :o PS Like the idea of tights too - what d...

Re: Sightings "in the wild"

It was in the coffee cafe of a big supermarket Interesting concept. "Café" is actually French for "coffee" so a "coffee café" is a coffee coffee. Oh the joys of the English language! Hi Skirts4me - you are so right, of course. Mea culpa/my bad. (I jest I know you are not having a go but than...

Re: Sightings "in the wild"

Spotted a guy last night while I was on the roof of a 13 storey building servicing some radio transmitting equipment, wearing what from some distance (probably close to 100m) looked like an ankle length dark brown skirt. I was on the phone and I just looked down and there was 3 people walking along...

Re: Before I Wore Skirts I Never...

Had so many lovely conversation openings with both women and men actually. Just had so many lovely lovely compliments. I do tend to ‘pretty skirt’, and this pays dividends. I just like nice things I guess! And people being nice.

Re: Sightings "in the wild"

Spotted in an East of England city three days ago - a man in a kilt that wasn't quite a standard Scottish kilt. It was a skirt. It was in the coffee cafe of a big supermarket and, at leisure with my latte, seated (wearing jeans I'm sorry to say, dudes), I was at leisure to observe two things: 1. The...

Re: Autumn Skirts In Cornwall

Nice discussion.
At this time of year I must say the denier of my tights goes up and I consider adding layering in terms of skirts, to my look.
Good luck with your skirt wearing in Cornwall and elsewhere.

Re: A time to say hello

Dear New-in-skirts - Welcome and sorry about my belated welcome. Here's hoping your skirt wearing is going well. I have been fortunate to acquire one of my mother-in-law's skirts. She is quite a 'masculine' and large lady. Not huge, and in fact we share the same waist size so her waistband fits me w...

Agreed. Like to be smooth against my inner layers, Daryl. Nothing feels so good against Speedos and a skirt lining.

Re: Wearing A Lady 's Trousers

Most of us older members grew up with suits with 2 pair of pants. This was because pants tended to wear out faster than the suit jackets . and it was basically a money saving plan How about this for a change a suit one pair of pants and one skirt. Like this very much, thanks for posting. The skirt ...

Re: Swim trousers (aka pants)

I like the look of the "Surfing Poncho" as it brings to mind something from the movie "Aladdin". The way the model is posing, it could be a "movie premier" shot :D Love it and on a serious note it's a good tunic model. Tunics are wonderful - so Roman Empire! And with the black Speedos worn undernea...

Re: Swim trousers (aka pants)

Just a plain black silky pair of Speedos does it for me. And I wear these under a long, lined linen skirt. And a plain white T-shirt. I do like the skirt lining - cool and silky. Hope this isn't too fem, liking these silky materials but it is a comfort thing!!!   :o
