Re: On statues...

If these statues were put up during the civil war (or shortly after), I would be saying that it is history and they should be kept, but, what they are, mostly, are statues put up to glorify the confederacy years later. There is some thought that they were put up to show that the confederacy was a ju...

Re: Pyjama Skirt?

Thanks for the tip. I have worn Scrub Skirts for bed but this looks a lot softer and comfortable. I also like the tartan look.

Re: Little advise please

I got one of those "Pride of Scotland" kilts. It is 100% poly but has a decent look from a few feet away. It washes easily (cold water) and is cheap did I say. I wear it regularly and it is comfortable enough. Since most people here is Massachusetts don't know what a kilt should be, it loo...

Re: Pleated Skirt - akin to a Kilt?

I love the pleats. I have both types, pleated and non, and I prefer the pleats. It is much more comfortable for daily wear (at least for me) and the please allow for some swing, and freedom of movement.

Re: Celeb Style That Is Wearable

Old Salt, I like your look. This points out that at least a few of us can easily wear the short styles.

Great!

Re: New, I suppose

Love that pattern, it is amazing how having the pattern turned like that changes the whole look. I almost never head any comments, and I wear everywhere, everyday, and with everybody. I do agree with the hiking being a way to explore--stretch your limits. I've also gotten the "are you scottish ...

Re: Buying through Poshmark?

I've been buying through Poshmark for years with no problems. I really like to browse and then give an offer that is considerably lower than the offer price (I remember only twice that I was refused without at least a counter, most times they accept) I don't see that I am profiled as male of female....

Re: Here a miniskirt fan from Barcelona (Spain)

Welcome! BTW, I love Barcelona! I was there this past February and hope to return soon. I wore my skirt all around the City and it was great (much warmer than I expected for February) . I don't think I have the ability to wear as short as you, but I do prefer the shorter ones myself. Here is Boston,...

Of course I love the skirt matching the car! That’s one way to get inspiration. Like the clinic pic too. Nice series of photos Old Salt.

Re: AGE APPROPIATE

Well, I think Old Salt is the living proof that age isn't what counts, it' s the legs, and the attitude. Thinking of "A guide to Men Dressing Well", I came across this article on Men dressing well in skirts.. It's not bad advice, at least to me. It does try to discourage bad combinations, ...
