Re: Teenager wearing a dress harassed by inbred Tennessee hillbilly

Conservatives do in fact tend to put their money where their mouth is in this as well, with greater charitable donations from conservatives than folks on the left. Do you have some evidence to support that assertion? The statement is likely true (see my response above). However I'd be willing to be...

Re: Teenager wearing a dress harassed by inbred Tennessee hillbilly

As to capital punishment, I think there is a massive difference between the just punishment fitting a capital crime that someone has been convicted of, and taking the life of one who has done nothing personally wrong. Not sure how people miss this, or what more I can do to explain it. Some pro-life...

Re: Teenager wearing a dress harassed by inbred Tennessee hillbilly

There is a reason why I specifically avoid using the term "moral" in conversations like these because "moral" has a lot of religious overload to it. Instead, I tend to focus on ethical which does not have that nuance. For instance, in some religious settings, it is possible to be both "pro-life" an...

Re: Teenager wearing a dress harassed by inbred Tennessee hillbilly

A cat is not human. Cows are not human. An unborn child, foetus, zygote, etc. is a human being. An extremely young, extremely vulnerable, and completely innocent human being. This is not conjecture, religious belief, or speculation. It is a scientific fact. It is a separate living human, with his o...

Re: Teenager wearing a dress harassed by inbred Tennessee hillbilly

Let's break it down simply: Conservative, pro-life members of skirt cafe, YES OR NO: Do you believe life saving medical treatment should depend solely on the patient's ability to pay? The two notions are in conflict. As far as I'm concerned the GOP can't talk to me about the sanctity of life. They ...

Re: Teenager wearing a dress harassed by inbred Tennessee hillbilly

If a pregnant woman is killed, it's treated as a double homicide. A cat is not human. Cows are not human. An unborn child, foetus, zygote, etc. is a human being. An extremely young, extremely vulnerable, and completely innocent human being. This is not conjecture, religious belief, or speculation. I...

Re: Teenager wearing a dress harassed by inbred Tennessee hillbilly

Unfortunately, the US Supreme Court ruled, without hearing any arguments on either side, to let the new Texas law stand until the challenges wend their weary way to the Supreme Court. That's the normal way of things, wait for a case. That's all they are supposed to do, not serve as a super veto bod...

Re: Skirt/dress-wearing vs. Masculinity

If there is one change in society that I'd like to see, it's that I'd love to see people (men in particular) stop worrying themselves to death about anything they may do being perceived as "feminine". Perhaps the boys in their peer groups may be lucky enough not to kill themselves by virtue of an e...

Rode_kater said: Hmm, can you explain to me then all the noise we hear about states in the US passing laws requiring teaching intelligent design/banning teaching evolution. Since from what you say that shouldn't be possible. Perhaps it isn't possible but they try anyway? Great question Rode! As Moo...

Re: The pleated skort as worn by Emma Raducanu

Athletic skirts are awesome!

I do tend to find the ones without the shorts, and wear what I want under them. I also get the non-pleated variety normally. Bit of an A-line in modern athletic fabrics and a short length, and you can move almost like you have nothing on.

Re: Gun control

Think about it, for a few moments. In 2007 we got hammered with a depression that in absolute numbers was worse than the "Great" in 1929, and we're right back where we were again in 1929 waiting for another hammering. I remember that period pretty well. Times got pretty tough as I recall, but I rem...

Interestingly, my uncle seems to be very pro 2A. Yet in all other matters appears to be as " liberal " leftist as the day is long... So much for stereotypes eh? Most folks have a mix of ideas, and aren't in lock step with either party line. I remember a few years back hearing about a Democra...

Re: New Skirtcraft Wrap Skirt Design

How easy is it to untie a square knot after being tied all day? I've got wrap and tie skirts, but they don't get out much, and I assumed a bow would be better than a square knot. A way of tucking the end in would help, not sure how, but I'd rather not have dangling chords of any sort. But I would st...

Re: Wow - yungblood's skirts!

If the Chinese want to go that way, then that's their choice. All they're doing in that regard is aping the West. Unfortunately it's not their choice, it's the choice of a small group of narrow minded elite and the fact that MIS enlightenment is nowhere near as good as centuries of indoctrination 😡...
