Re: Pyjama Skirt?

I bought one off AliExpress, it came too short with the slit too high, so it went straight to the recycling.

Am astounded at Stu’s post. It’s so far away from reality that I don’t know where to begin with a rebuttal. I am taking the view of pelmut and Pdfx
I have been watching this unfold and I agree with you 100%
I’m glad to see there are more or us here who don’t agree with Stu.

Re: Gucci Takes Toxic Masculinity to Task for Fall 2020

There is nothing inherently toxic about masculinity. The notion of toxic masculinity is essentially a myth - a manifestation of misandric hate speech invented by radical feminists. As some explained above, toxic masculinity is very real and it does not mean all masculinity is toxic. It is a term en...

Re: Gucci Takes Toxic Masculinity to Task for Fall 2020

If "toxic masculinity" meant that masculinity is toxic, then the evaluation of the term as "misandric hate speech" would be correct. But the original meaning of the term is not that all masculinity is toxic. "Toxic" here is an adjective that defines a specific subset of masculinity. When men feel f...

Re: Bride gets to grips with skirt-wearing man

Have you got an actual source for this citation? Everything I find are online bigotry reservations or hoax-spreading websites. https://www.change.org/p/the-guardian-this-person-promotes-hate-speech-and-should-not-work-for-the-guardian That’s not a source citing her , it’s citing some bullshіt video...

Bindel, who was a full-time Guardian columnist in 2015 when she said: "“I mean, I would actually put them all <…>” Have you got an actual source for this citation? Everything I find are online bigotry reservations or hoax-spreading websites. She also hopes that “heterosexuality doesn’t survive.” Ca...

Re: Bride gets to grips with skirt-wearing man

I have been reading the Guardian for many years too, and it provides a platform for some of the most pernicious, man-hating feminist lunatics with whom we have the misfortune of sharing our society - including the likes of Julie Bindel, Laura Bates and Charlotte Proudman. It's vile. If women were e...

Re: Bride gets to grips with skirt-wearing man

The writer didn't need to turn it into an ideological point and I hope that wasn't what she was hoping to achieve. I don't want to sound cynical, but I am always suspicious when The Guardian prints stuff like this as there is so often a subtext of man-hating feminism . This is complete nonsense. I’...

Re: Out and About -- In the World at Large

Wearing a skirt on a trip to Brest, Minsk, Kiev and Lvov, I think I’ve never had so many literally jaw-dropping reactions as in Brest (and a bit Minsk), and people half-secretly taking pictures of me as in Lvov today. Damn it, people, just ask politely, I want to have pictures of me myself :)

Re: pants origins?

Two item on eBay, both new with tags; one mini skirt and one pants, same brand name. I have always been suspicious about those curved or V'd seams on a skirt. Why not make a straight seem. The reason, I believe, is simple: it looks like a skirt the wearer might have made themselves out of an old pa...

Re: French skirt

I have no reason to believe that the "real" version wasn't made in the same Chinese sweat shop. Their website says it was "Designed & patterned in France" with no indication as to where it was made. It might be different material, but that's probably it. I think the original Hiatus is actually made...

Re: French skirt

While I understand wanting to get things cheaper, I discourage anyone from buying those. It’s a Chinese rip-off that deliberately goes down with the price. If you can’t afford the original Hiatus, it’s better to buy something else, but not one of these.

Re: Sightings "in the wild"

So, we’ve been in Mexico City since Thursday, and it happened that just on this weekend there was Mexico City Pride. We went to see it, since neither my girlfriend nor I have even been to any such event, and we’ve seen quite a few men in skirts. I’m not only talking now about people using skirts to ...

Re: The Guardian - More men should wear skirts

The very phrase "toxic masculinity" would, if rephrased in respect of any other demographic group, be considered as hate speech. <…> Let me quote Arwa herself: I shouldn’t have to say this, it should be obvious, but “toxic masculinity” doesn’t mean that men are toxic or that masculinity is de facto...
