Woah, steady there tiger :blue: I've been accessing this content without creating an account or logging in. No idea why it should be different for you??? I tend to have Facebook and Hotmail permanently logged in, not sure if that makes any difference. Just logged out of both and I can still see the ...

Re: U.S. coin shortage

Yeah - read about that. Cannot understand why that would be given that people are buying online more than ever and many shops are asking for card payment as it is seen as less of a Covid risk than handling cash????

Re: @jvdd on TikTok

So, I've looked into this some more. My reason for the original posting was my initial interest in the fact that a group outside the Skirt Cafe demographic had embraced the skirt. The contributors seem to come from a broad church. Those I linked to are, I think, cis-gender "pretty boys" (as some of ...

Re: Some fun music

HI Carl. This reminds me of times back in the UK seeing Family Mahone play at the Robin II in Bilston. The band was headed by Mark Radcliffe (I am a fan of his radio and tv work and I enjoyed reading his books) who is a big fan of the Pogues. Although the band featured some serious musicians, Radcli...

Re: For your sarcastic friends

I remember from my teen years being round a friends house, where my pal was giving his mom some "backchat" over something or other. At one point she turned around and, in a withering tone, uttered the phrase "sarcasm is the lowest form of wit". Without missing a beat, he was back at his mother with ...

A great time-waster for car nuts

The Elkhart collection The guy who built up this collection may have issues around his business dealings, but you cannot fault his taste in cars. Oh, to have a few $$$million to splash out on some of these. To be honest, there are so many cars from the collection that appeal to me, I wouldn't know ...

Re: Coronavirus, how are you managing at home?

Just as a matter of interest, B&B, what is your favourite flight simulator? Would love the space, budget, time, skill to be able to put together a flight sim with life-size cockpit, 'real' instruments and controls and some fancy-pants screens to give me a wrap-around view of the (virtual) outside w...

Tim Brooke-Taylor - Taken By Covid

I remember The Gooides, but I was maybe a bit young to get the humour. I' familiar with the works of TBT (as I will call him) more for Bananaman and I'm Sorry I Haven't a Clue. The latter is British humour at it's finest. For our American friends in particular (who most likely will have never heard ...

Re: Coronavirus, how are you managing at home?

I'm fortunate in that I'm in IT and can work from home. In fact, I've been so busy with my day job over the last 2 1/2 weeks that I've been housebound that I just haven't really had time to get bored or to have time to think much about these crazy times that we find ourselves in. Our company has sta...

Re: 25 reasons to wear a dress (by a genius)

With my Pinterest access restored, I've come across a guy called Chris Tiberius who is pulling off dress wearing at the same level that Mark pulls off skirt wearing (IMHO). Not generally a fan of 'flats' as a shoe style, but I really like what he has on. Anyone got any idea of what these shoes are c...

Re: Meggings

I got a pair of meggings when I started my journey into alternative clothing styles a couple of years back. The wife hated them - this was back in the days before she had come to accept my new pastime. I sent them back based upon the wife's reaction (not even sure that I ever got a refund), but I'm ...

Re: Mr. Steed, if you please!

When I met FranTastic444 for a fabulous luncheon several months ago, I did not find his "accent" off-putting in the least -- at least he has one. To his ear, I must've sounded like a US television talking head. (Nobody has ever been able to nail down where I'm from based on the way I speak. It's th...
