Re: Bride gets to grips with skirt-wearing man

Children? Why on the gods' green Earth would any ethical feeling human being bring a child into today's world? That I cannot fathom. Some of us had this thought as 18 year old males in the swinging sixties .....some of my current friends are now 85 years old. My prediction is that I will die when a...

Re: New guy just learning the ropes

Hello and welcome, shilo! I'm not surprised your daughter refers to your nightshirts as nightdresses. She's almost certainly never seen a shirt as long as that. If I were you I'd go along with it, it prepares her mentally for seeing you in dresses during the day time, if she hasn't already. Welcome...

Re: Wood working in the cold in a kilt.

Going back to wood working as topic of thread ...One wood working sculptor has cut across forks in boughs of trees to make interesting shapes with the cut at 45 Degrees to the horizontal . The slice wood looks like a strange shaped island. Another example was a hole drilled though a bough. The wood ...

Re: New terminology related to MUG wearing?

A traditional kilt is a skirt, just heavier, lacking pockets, and costing loads of money. Thank you B & B ...That is a fair comment from Scotland on the Traditional Kilt. Has anyone seen the video of the Kilted Climber.....He put on his snow shoes and walked to the top of an Italian Mountain....Gre...

Re: New terminology related to MUG wearing?

Thank you for your thoughts gentlemen ...we do seem to have gone round the block on this one...It has all been said before over the years.... Rather like the idea of trying to design and market a new skirt for men..... Perhaps this would socially explain why there is still such a small percentage of...

Re: New terminology related to MUG wearing?

If our friends across the pond wish to try more advanced watersports .....In march a couple of years ago ... .....a 21 foot high tidal wave came two miles up the Helford River and lifted the pontoons over the top of the mooring piles.... I cannot see what the problem is with our weather this year......

Re: New terminology related to MUG wearing?

Thank you Tom.....Are you talking about a dingy which can be " rowed " by one man ....or a racing skiff which one man can scull with two oars . ....I am visualising a narrow hard chine boat with a pair of out riggers . There are a couple of boats hanging up in the gods of the National Maritime Museu...
