Re: Friendliness

Was shopping at Joanne's Fabric store today, and the clerk commented "That's a cute skirt". I replied Thank you.
One of very few comments I have received

Re: Out and About -- In the World at Large

Are we supposed to post pics? I’m not good about taking selfie’s. Nonetheless, took a nice evening stroll on the W&OD trail here in Northern Virginia, sporting a green linen miniskirt. I’m still new to this style, and pay discreet attention to people’s’ reactions. Nary a one that I could see. And, ...

Re: Would you wear a MIS promoting tee shirt?

Sorry, sorry. It is just not my strategy for wearing skirts in public; I wear them as if it is the most normal thing in the world. I had a "Moto Morini" T-shirt once and would wear that with a skirt nowadays as it had nice coloured graphics. I wouldn't wear a Land-Rover "T" shirt with a skirt as th...

Re: RipSkirt

I got two of these years ago, one for my wife, one for me.
Very nice quality.
When I first purchased they only had one length, now they have multiple.
I use as a beach coverup over a bikini.
I used once when hiking.

Re: what styles do you guys recommend?

If you are in the US, look at Kohls. I have several of their denim skorts and cut out the internal shorts.
Also Old Navy has denim skirts.
They have zippers and pockets so look like denim shorts.
Good way to start, relatively cheap on sale.

Re: Swim skirts: Crossing a line?

I like to work on my tan at the beach in "speedo" style men's bikinis (checkout www.skinzwear.com), but when walking to the beach or for my twice daily stroll down the beach I wear a "Running Kilt" (www.runningkilts.com) but it is really a skirt. I have also gone swimming at the beach in a bikini an...

Re: What do you wear on your legs with skirts

Usually I wore skirts with bare legs (except maybe socks). When I will have the opportunity to wear them again, it will probably be bare legs or only with socks most of the time, and with leggings when it's cold. Pantyhoses provide a really nice feeling, but they are harder to put on and take off t...

Where did you find the kilt on their web site?
I cannot find it, could they have sold out already?
Thanks

Re: This on-line blog gets it!!

I have two of the Elkommando kilts from Mountain Hardwear. (one XL, one L: need to keep a consistent weight!) Unfortunately, it is not a regular stocked item. I also hike in converted skorts (liner removed). Also in the really light weight "Running Kilt" (which is really a skirt). Most of the commen...

Re: Non Gendered Children

I think I get it now: "Men, don't bring your daughter into the men's room" "Women, don't bring your son into the women's room" I see this on occasion in restaurants, the daughter has to go, when out with her dad. He has no choice as she is too young to send on her own. And vice versa. The sign wordi...
