Re: Camo skirt

Reminded me of an episode of Dads Army (a 1970's UK tv sitcom about a ragtag bunch of Home Guard volunteers during the Second World War)

Captain Mainwaring to Private Pike...." Pike, I didn't see you at camouflage training yesterday"
Pike: "thank you sir"

Man in a dress on 'First Dates' television show

I'm not sure where this belongs, so I'll just leave it here....... 25 years ago Bruce Springsteen sang “57 Channels (and nothin' on) [tv] today, it's probably 157 channels and STILL nothin' on. Last night there was nothin' on, so I thought I'd 'catchup' on a programme I'd missed on Channel 4 (UK) la...

Re: Zara selling skirts for men

Lazerr, I ordered a medium size last week and picked it up from store yesterday. I usually wear size 12 (UK), have a 33 inch waist (at naval level). Taking deep breaths, I just managed to do up the buttons - will have to make sure that I don't up on anymore weight! So if your waist is over 33 inches...

Re: Out and About -- In the World at Large

Last Saturday saw the start of the 6 Nations Rugby Championships with Wales v Scotland the first game. I thought I'd show my support for Wales by wearing a (novelty) Welsh flag skirt to run in, at my local parkrun on the Saturday morning. I got a few odd looks from some of my male running group budd...

I recently bought a reversible wrap skirt from Skirtfanatic.com I've been looking at their skirts for some time and the offer of 20% off, I couldn't resist. SF is a small designer/outlet. The owner – Andrea, has a weekly market stall at various places in Devon (UK) plus her online store. Being a sma...

Re: Before I Wore Skirts I Never...

JoePublic I came across this > https://blog.ewm.co.uk/index.php/a-guide-on-how-to-dress-to-suit-your-build-for-men/ earlier today. It's a link to a mans guide to basic coordination and colour matching. Ignore the pants - imagine skirts! :) It explains the colour families and zones, that the guys hav...

Re: Sightings "in the wild"

Today – New Years Day – I went to Barry Island (UK) parkrun. (google 'parkrun') I usually run, but today I was marshalling out on the course. Many of my running club buddies run at Barry Island and I, informally, know many more of the runners, so I've never worn a skirt there – until today. Unfortun...

experienced that Marilyn Monroe 'moment' - though she had warm air, and I had cold!....amazing how fast reaction times can be, when called for urgently!!
understood why a woman took so long to get ready to go out.
spent most of my annual clothing budget each month on new clothes.

Hi, from South Wales (UK)

I've been browsing Skirtcafe for a few months and recently took the plunge and joined!. I've been wearing skirts (at home) on and off (more off than on) for about 15 years. About 2-3 years ago I started wearing skirts most days, in the evenings – great to get out of trousers and into something comfo...
