Re: Missing Cafe' Members

Please keep posting, Alistair. Whilst I love the variety of styles in the cafe, I’m probably most in line with you and Coder. I hope one day to persuade my wife to take a look. And if I can show that there are other men out there who wear the kind of outfits I would like to wear, and who don’t face ...

Re: Sightings "in the wild"

I forgot to post last week about the guy I saw descending the steps to platform 2 at Bromley South wearing a knitted maxi skirt (dress?) in stripes of blue, aqua and green.

[Almost had an eats shoots and leaves moment in reverse!]

Re: Sightings "in the wild"

A rather belated post to say that last Saturday morning in Abingdon market place I spotted an older gentleman in a calf-length swirly skirt with a ditsy pattern, along with fuschia coloured tights and walking boots with socks. Not the most stylish, but walking around quite nonchalantly [edited for a...

I made this observation (again) to my wife and she just shrugged.

Re: Out and About -- In the World at Large

BUT I'm on the look out for a jumper which ends at my waistband. Not as short as a crop top but shorter than a regular man jumper
And I’d likeable shirt that’s a bit shorter than a regular man’s shirt. I swear they get longer every year!

But my wife will if she thinks the neighbours saw. And she doesn’t yet know I’ve bought a skirt. All very tricky.

Re: Out and About -- In the World at Large

After dropping someone off at Gatwick airport I popped into the local Tesco extra and purchased, among other items, a poly viscose pull on mini skirt and a pair of tights. A quick (ish) in car change followed then an excursion to Sainsbury’s in Crawley (Tesco didn’t have one item I needed). Then dro...

Re: skirts among the main new trends at Paris Fashion week FW23

I love the Hiatus styles and might even get one accepted indoors. But the price is out of my reach, unless I were skirted as part of my daily routine.

Re: Buying Women's Trousers/Pants

I’m clearly not a typical man shape. I have a 34” waist and hips around 42-44” which is more typical female proportions. I don’t wear jeans now, but the best-fitting ones I had were women’s as a late teenager.

Re: skirts among the main new trends at Paris Fashion week FW23

The rather random text in the description, especially describing the object as shorts, doesn't inspire much confidence. However, it would sort out one of my problems with kilts - I actually have a waist and hips so the width of the waistband spans the gap between my pelvis and ribs. I'm left with ei...

The great thing about that article is that, whilst none of those photos is new to cafe members, the styles are “normal” - they could be worn by any man in the street.

Re: Schoolboy wear girls uniform

I see nothing in here that suggests transgender identity. He is clearly behaving as a “typical” boy in other respects and switches between trousers and dresses at will. Of course him mum calls them girls clothes , because that is how they are marketed. How can we claim that we should be able to wear...

Re: Schoolboy wear girls uniform

What a positive story!

As usual, the comments reflect the attitude that no boy would want of his own free will to wear a pinafore dress.
