Re: A Formula for Successfully Selling Men's Skirts

2. The kilties. Emphasis on traditional kilts, and in general an interest in Celtic heritage. These guys generally will not see what they wear as skirts and they'd be unlikely to identify with MIS in general. What's more Grok, they'd also be unlikely to be receptive to expanding their skirted reper...

Retailing around GB £90, cheap enough if that's your style.
OK I guess, but not for me.

Re: A Formula for Successfully Selling Men's Skirts

Yeah Guys, who'd have thought it, "Macho Skirts for the All Male rootin tootin 100% testosterone laden uber masculine dude". Problem is that it has already been done to death by the kilt in all it's guises and iterations. Hell, UK had or maybe still has, a version for those who wished to p...

Re: Clothes shops

BM, We all know that men are free to choose whatever they wish to wear. Ok there can be constraints, but all other things being equal,, they can but choose not to. Ok, but don't then complain about what woman can do with their hard won advantages. I certainly have many more supportive females than m...

Re: Clothes shops

A lot may have lost interest in clothes, because of the Great Renunciation. We are making this renunciation thingy sound like some great conspiracy to deprive men of the freedom to dress as they please. It really wasn't so let's remember that because the vast majority of men today wouldn't even hav...

Re: A Formula for Successfully Selling Men's Skirts

If commercially viable, it would likely be a tiny niche market, just big enough for one small company. "Small company, Niche Market", is likely to be reasonably profitable Grok. The problem is that we already have that and the real challenge is to break out of it and grow. "A Formula...

Re: A Formula for Successfully Selling Men's Skirts

I think I commented before on the crowd funding thing, it wasn't very well received, so leave that. Women come in a wide variety of shapes and sizes, so do their skirts. Actually I know lots of women who would take a considerably larger dress size than I do. Must admit that I am puzzled about the si...

Re: Clothes shops

This comes from long ago being taken there to get school uniform bits like grey socks Kind of ironic Mouse, but as a 15 year old schoolboy some of my first forays across the aisle was under the auspices of good old St. Michael. My female peers had trevira pleated skirts from a Scots company called ...

Re: Clothes shops

Absolutely Grok, Anyone can add an original touch to their clothes, all it takes is a little bit of time and thought. That has nothing to do with.gender, but boys tend not to be encouraged to be adventurous with fashion. It is also true that retailers will respond to demand and therefore money. If a...

Re: Venom Cargo Skirt

Agreed Coder and Faldaguy.
Cheap, so don't expect too much OK.
Almost a skort in reverse, I remember a 70s hotpants/skirt combination that might work with that.
Why not, nothing ventured, nothing gained.

Re: UK Parliament Speaker requiring ties...

Brave words Fred, maybe even true.
However, easier said than done if there is a wife, kids and mortgage to support.
If we have to wear trousers to preserve jobs, a tie is insignificant by comparison.
Just be thankful that we have the choice where many others do not.

Re: UK Parliament Speaker requiring ties...

Another little quirk of UK employment law, men can be forced to wear a tie at work provided that women have some comparable requirement. I have no idea what the employment status of MPs is, but the speaker should get hauled up for what is a unilateral declaration of discrimination. Not based on gend...

Re: Leggings

hat LOOP under the foot makes the tights/leggings/pants = "Stirrup Pants" - commonly found in ski wear. Exactly, "ski pants", they were form fitting and quite thick, sometimes fleece lined. This may seem strange, but snow is actually cold, skis don't work so well in summer. Steve.
