That, permission will disappear like snow in the rain if the backlash hits the company profits.

OK BM, are you going to make them mandatory when you become the PM?

Cut to the chase!
It's not a man's or a woman's skirt, it's mine!
I paid for it after all!

Re: The boundary between skirt wearer and TV

But heaven forbid a man don a skirt. Men and women both will attack him mercilessly. It's the dichotomy that we need to abolish. End the double-standard! Sure, end any double standards Carl, but I haven't been especially attacked at all. Except, that is for family, and I now have good reason to bel...

Re: The boundary between skirt wearer and TV

Assuming that one is not transgendered, you have no actual need to even attempt to pass as a female to wear a skirt. Stevie If TV has no actual place in the language anymore. Then what's a disguise? Either male or female. I think I've answered that myself.. it's a disguise. The fact that this is ha...

Re: The boundary between skirt wearer and TV

Hi Walks, That boundary is a myth that really gets in the way of fashion freedom for men. Assuming that one is not transgendered, you have no actual need to even attempt to pass as a female to wear a skirt, dress or any item society would normally ascribe as exclusively for women. I took a long time...

Re: More gender neutral retail

Sorry Mr S, Cerqular is not a straightforward retailer, it is an internet marketing platform. Take dresses as as single example. 10 is the total under the gender neutral filter, compared to unfiltered 1,882. I'm in the UK so shipping here is 4 gender neutral and 1,4442 if priced in GBP. Free shippin...

Re: would you wear these sci-fi unisex dresses?

Btw, even if a long coat may look dress like, the expectation that it would be worn over trousers makes it socially acceptable. Ah, but I have the benefit of no caring what "society" expects. It just occurred to me that some of these long coats could be worn over a skirted rig. Been there...

Re: would you wear these sci-fi unisex dresses?

I have never worked out why men can wear long coats which look like a heavy dresses with buttons down the front, but not a skirt? Why do I see so many effeminate men but no men in skirts? The great mysteries of the human existence on the third rock from the sun. My newest "coat" certainly...

Seb is right TM.
Ryker and Picard are wearing dress uniform top coats not skants.
I'd guess that design is based on ships officers frock coats 18th 19th century.
I'm not a trekkie, but my son is.
Gods, imagine Captain Kirk or Scottie in a dress, eugh!

Re: Skirts in Schools - No hope for boys

When we are talking about children, the company which seems to mean it when they say everything is gender neutral is the US firm primary.com . Some of their dresses and skirts are modelled by children who are boys. Certainly a start Stu, but there is this retail/chicken egg question. Primary are ce...

Re: would you wear these sci-fi unisex dresses?

I seem to recall star trek trying putting male crew members(in the background) in skirts or dresses at one point, but it did'nt fall out well. A little ahead of its time perhaps. And you will note that none of the (main) male characters wore those. One for the Trekkies, has the skant been re-introd...

Re: would you wear these sci-fi unisex dresses?

Jamie. In the context of the time when that movie was produced , the very idea of non-binary or agender anything would have been considered radical to the point of unthinkable. That is just how it was, and really not about men being relegated to anything. Pink was not considered suitable for men unt...
