Re: Becoming too obsessed

Woman wear trousers because they fought for the right to in the first place. A female wears trousers by choice, not coercion, there is no tyranny. Men have all the same freedoms, but most don't know it. In the main, the conditioning of boys into trouser only mode is very subtle and they develop into...

Re: Overly Flamboyant Outfits Detrimental to Mainstreaming MIS?

I think we would do best if we looked at traditional men's skirts and riffed off that look. For example, try riffing off the Fijian sulu. Style it like how they do in Fiji. Buy a plain, straight, midi-length dark blue/grey skirt and wear it with a suit on top. Maybe a T-shirt or button up shirt on ...

Re: Article in Womenswear Daily

I didn't try to go beyond the paywall Stu, but is this for real.
Mainstream is when M&S have men's skirts on the racks in the menswear department.
Tom Browne etc is not and never will be for the ordinary guy, just not their "type".

Re: Overly Flamboyant Outfits Detrimental to Mainstreaming MIS?

I cannot see how full on femme impersonation harms the cause, nor your own stated actions furthering it. Stevie how do you further the cause? As I recall the first meeting in Peterborough, led to the London meetings. Would that have happened without my intervention? The Herald article, published in...

Re: Becoming too obsessed

I don't want to be too graphic, but sometimes sexual relief also relieves odd thoughts. On the other hand Jim, the lack of it will cause all kinds of problems, but yes, that's for another place. Dr F, since I started wearing skirts and dresses full-time, they are my go to option every day, every ti...

Re: Overly Flamboyant Outfits Detrimental to Mainstreaming MIS?

I believe what really harms the cause for men in skirts (MIS) are men who pretend they are women and take on made up feminine names rather than the attire itself. When I'm dressed en femme I speak with my normal male voice and go by the name of John. John Sorry John, I just have to disagree, on bot...

Re: MIS in an advert?

One or two months ago I did see one from Proximus (belgian telecom company) with a man wearing a kilt. Spirou, I can well understand why a Belgian would use a kilted man in their advertising, there are strong historical links between the two countries to the extent that the roots of Scots law has m...

Re: denim skirts

PS: That is me this time. Awww Gee, I am so disappointed. In the UK there are Trades Descriptions Regulations which take a very dim view of misleading advertising. Steve. It had me wondering why denimini took his belly piercing out for the second picture🤠 I wrote that over a year ago, seems more li...

Re: Overly Flamboyant Outfits Detrimental to Mainstreaming MIS?

When will we move beyond the boy in a skirt being news? BM, it's not news now, it's tolerated, just not as widely accepted as we'd wish. Change might happen, or not, as the case may be and no one including all the "influencers" in the world won't make one bit of a difference. Your comment...

Re: Overly Flamboyant Outfits Detrimental to Mainstreaming MIS?

Wear whatever you want. Cut to the chase and this is the alpha and the omega. All the verbiage that is produced here, changes nothing, it is neither beneficial or detrimental to mainstreaming men in skirts. Simply being out there, going about one's business will and flamboyance in the right appropr...

Re: "Women Care About Personality, not Looks"

If the "look", includes a skirt, they most certainly care, and it's not guaranteed positive.
For all the woman who will fully support and accept a skirted guy, there are a hell of a lot more who will not!

Re: MIS Skews Older?

We just have to accept that our motives may be misconstrued and I find that the older I get the less I care. I had a conversation to this effect with an 86 year old lady who is a ward mate of my wife's who is currently in hospital. The lady and I concurred on this, she emphasised the point with a m...
