Re: South China Morning Post article on men’s skirts

Yes a good article. As for the "taboo" aspect, it is breaking down but the process is erosion on a geological scale not an explosive demolition. The detractors are still out there and vocal too. The Burberry striped skirt is good design but echoes from another thread are sounding. Unique or cheap it...

Re: Hola!: Bad Bunny rocks pink hair, a skirt, and face pearls on the cover of Allure

No mention of the fact that he’s wearing tights and what looks like heels. If these things aren’t worthy of mention, that’s got to be a positive sign, right? Yes Ray, it sure is but....... skirts will be flying off the shelves sorry to be the resident pessimist again. Just don't hold your breath N2...

Re: Unique fabrics

They are cheerful which is always a welcome attribute these days but us menfolk can be unique by wearing a common and garden dress, at a fraction of the cost. Denimini I could not agree more on the benefits of cheap and cheerful in these woe begotten times. However, in best cafe tradition if I were...

Can we really believe that no one saw the potential in a mirrored floor, really?
Actually, perfect place for voyeurs and exhibitionists to come together.

Re: Never-mind 'Boyfriend'. How about 'Girlfriend'?

It seems that nothing is off limits for the women folk. If a woman wears something from the men's department, it's considered, to be, cute, darling, sexy, darling, progressive, chic and or empowering. Ain't it the truth but also largely due mostly to women themselves. Over the years they have fough...

One step closer or just more confusion?
Neither, just another bit of sales hype.
No confusion because it won't touch the vast majority of men at all.

Re: LA Times article on men’s skirts

I was trying to think of a word..."peacock" is the word.... The bird puts on a display using feathers, people do something similar with clothing. Hi Grok More specifically it is the males of the avian species who put on the brightest displays. Perhaps a lesson for us homo sapiens there. We have to ...

Re: Out and About -- In the World at Large

Once humans are off their native terrain things can be pretty darned inhospitable. Amen Carl and just about as far from the "world at large" as we can possibly imagine too. Regarding "cover ups", my rig of choice today will be governed by the gale that is currently blowing over my native terrain. T...

Re: This is strange - or not?

But if someone wants to look this one up? Nah, I will pass on that pleasure. Tis' about time I was making a move and choosing the rig for work today. Not sure about the skirt yet but boots will be included. The rain sounds rather persistent this morning. However, porridge is first priority. Nice to...

Re: This is strange - or not?

Hi Coder Yeah, a bit of celebitching just about sums it up. In the 70s, many male performers portrayed a degree of what we now call gender fluidity. That really went with the on stage performance but I doubt it extended to street wear. I don't follow modern pop culture much but from reading here som...

Re: Another double standard

I’d hazard a guess a good % do, but because of stigmas attached to men wearing “women’s clothes” that they don’t want to rock that boat and cater to them. Hi Coder The retailer isn't responsible for societal attitude, they just have to work with it. Actually, "catering" is exactly what they do and ...

Hi Bodycon,
Indeed they do some very nice stuff.
I have a couple of skirts and a waistcoat from them.
One of the skirts is the original "kilt" inspired and is about 2 years old.

Re: Prostate Issue

Hi Stu For starters it would be very strange if you were unconcerned and really it is only a urologist who should advise. However, I was diagnosed with enlarged prostate in early 2017 and the final non cancerous prognosis was delivered in the December. Not a pleasant wait I can assure you. However, ...

I do believe Dennis's minis he referred to were motor cars.
Thanks for the clarification Tom but I was going by the title.
